The main difference is that Creed's getting better and smoothier as it dries down. To me, it's like rainy forest. Love it!

Yup i actually got the BIG size of the Mugler Cologne. Just recently made a decant to keep at the office. I know it's not the sexiest scent but it's just such a cool soapy scent like damn!!

Went and purchased the Mugler Cologne and man the scent works great for me three sprays I had to shower twice to get rid of the aroma 👍🏾

I finally got to wear Original Vetiver for the first time today. While I can kind of tell that the OV has slightly better quality in the ingredients, I find I actually like Mugler Cologne more. Mugler has more of a stronger Bergamot note in the opening that I like personally and OV seems to be a little more prominent with the Neroli on the opening. I also prefer Mugler more on the dry down as well, probably because the bergamot surprisingly is still noticeable. Even without the price factor I lean towards Mugler but the cost difference to me makes it a no brainer.

I got myself a second big 200 ml of Mugler Cologne yesterday as a back up. Max warned a few times about discontinuation. My first big one as dent. I love this one and I don't want to run out of it.

Mugler cologne is a must have for any serious fragrance collector. Great gym scent.
All the way from the UK your reviews as great relaxed no complicated nonsense love it mate. I tested mugler last week against an old batch and it appears to have weakened. Ov seemed to last quite well on me. Maybe a skin chemistry thing. Anyway stay cool brother keep the good work coming 👍

The Theirry mugler is my best kept secret! With my skins pH I get a lot and I mean a lot of women who stop me in the summer asking what do I have on. That super clean scent with me is life. The Creed doesn't get me any compliments. Another scent that works really well with my PH, davidoff GoodLife...man!

Original vetiver👍!! It my cost more but you get what you pay for. If you love OV don't go for a cheaper alternetiv. You are worth it, to smell nice👍👌
Lotus Eater nah. They aren't that different. Paying $35 for mugler is is going so save you a lot of cash for other scents. Save $100 and put it toward something like Lubin Idole EDP. Be different.
Lotus Eater i'd say Original Vetiver is more expensive alternative ...since Mugler Cologne was released years before Creed Original Vetiver

i have MC and haven't tried OV. i really like the Mugler so i don't have any motivation to try the Creed at that price. Great vid J.
Here is the thing about OV; you are not going to get a lot of compliments on it if you are going attention in passing. The weak projection just smells like you are extremely well bathed. If you are going to be up close and personal kissing, hugging, and more, then this is where the scent is a winner. It is an intoxicating scent, that will linger when transfered to another person's clothes or bedsheets😅

I for one love OV and it's a staple for me. And for some reason I get incredible longevity and performance from it with the caveat being that I tend to be fairly liberal with the sprays since it's so inoffensive. I haven't really worn Muegler to compare.
On another note I think you should get your nose on Wall Street by Bond No 9. I know it doesn't get a lot of love in the community but man do I Love that one. I have a feeling you will too!

Creed OV is definitely deeper, creamier, and dare I say a tad smoky (probably the vetiver and sandalwood); MC is brighter and zestier and I can vouch for the fact that it doesn't have as much lasting power as OV. MC has no woodiness or thick floral to ground it. I do get 8 plus hours with OV a little less with MC. The green soapy (irish spring) quality runs through both. I have dupes of both of them but had decants of the og of both.
I don't find these two all that similar. Mugler Cologne is a soapy unisex soft musk and neroli type scent that fades very quickly.
OV is an elegant and smooth vetiver and ginger blend. I like Mugler Cologne but I love OV. Too bad it didn't last or projected more but for that to happen you would need to sacrifice some of the beauty.

I’ve been wearing the original mugler cologne since it was released in 2001, it was instant love and it is still my favourite. Getting hard to find the original now, and I’m skeptical about the “come together” “rebranding”. Hope it isn’t less a fragrance than the original

Mugler cologne, my scent of the day, is a much better value! I own the 200ml bottle which smells very similar to OV. As you stated, very similar in scent and performance, go with the MC and save that money. Great review!

I really love the subtle scent of Mugler Cologne. It is one of my favorite smells to be honest. Im on my second bottle. Dont think id ever be rich enuff to afford a bottle of Creed: OV.....i will stick with the poverty pack :P

I have to admit that I still enjoy watching your videos, J! I don't meant to be rude or disrespectful by any means, but I'm not a big fan of either Mugler Cologne or Original Vetiver. I get turned off by a lot of fragrances with that soapy texture. Nonetheless congrats on hitting 4K!

Since I know that Alberto Morrilas is the creator off(Aqua Di Gio by:Armani and Oud Absolut by:YvesSaint Laurent and the new Dolce & Gabanna light by:D&G) and the list goes on and on I start to believe mor in any creation off fresh Fragrance or Perfume as long has is made by him(Al Morrilas)that guy is genius.Ps:bro keep up simples as always and the good work bro you deserve mor subscriber ;-)

Never have tried the Mugler but the Creed is headache inducing when sprayed on my neck . To my nose it smells like generic soap, weed , and an insect repellant candle . Smells better on other people than it does on me .

i have mugler, and i had a chance smelling creed ov today, the moment i smell it i found i love it more than my mugler, the mugler smells like more strange, but COV smells more gentle, more like just came out of shower. both scents are clean but COV smells more natural compare to Mugler.
Totally agree with you. I wouldn’t spend $415 for COV but I did find it on Gilt for $250 and I was able to stomach that cost for a similar yet significantly more complex fragrance.

I appreciate the review but am confused by the comment that Vetiver dates to 2004. What about Guerlain's Vetiver which has been a classic for some time? Would like to have a comment by any who knows the industry, which I do not. thx
I was just able to find out Guerlain launched Vertiver in 1959, and it is one of their most popular scents, used by both men and women.
I didn’t say vetiver dates to 2004. I said that Creed’s fragrance called “Original Vetiver” dates to 2004.

Great idea for a video. I slightly prefer OV but it's because I lie to myself and say "it's better cause it's Creed!" lol. Truth be told I think they are so close to the same that for the money just go with Mugler. Neither lasts long on my skin for the record!

How would you compare these to Xerjoff Nio?
Quite different from Nio, which is a bit more complex. But I prefer Original Vetiver if we’re comparing them.
Creed in my opinion is a little bit better and deeper. Is it worth that much? In my opinion no (and i have it) but all of creed is overpriced in my opinion. They always say youre buying a piece of history. So yeah. If you have money buy the OV. It is better in my opinion.

If you're able to try both, I encourage it...if you see my later videos (this one is a little old), I actually prefer the Creed in terms of quality these days. Its just smoother. But the Mugler is still very good.
