Enigmatic India! Such an old tradition dating back thousands of years yet the festival appears to be so chaotic! This is definitely an optical illusion folks, once you understand the philosophy behind this amazing custom you will truly appreciate its celebration. Jai Hind !

This is surprising and at the same time I am happy that it seems the Indians are enjoying their stay in the Philippines. Marshall, you always bring new and good stuff in your channel, great job!🎉

In the 60's or even 70's there are already a lot of Indians in the Philippines! We used to call them "Bumbay"! From the place called "Bombay" i believe, and they are the once who started the 5/6 lending scheme he!he! They are very business minded people! Anyways nice video Marshall, as always!!! -- watching from Canada "Pinoycanadian❤!!!".

And I think you need to stop using that term because that is hurtful to Indians. I have Indian friends and they don't like to be called by that. They are Indians, not Bombay.

    • @vpw65

5/6 was started by Chinese immigrants and then taken over by the Indians.

@@marshallbuttersvlogs6880 I had a 30 year career in food safety so I have had a front row seat to and personal experience with the risks of food handling practices. I would rather be unadventurous than in the hospital or morgue. 😩 On another note, I really like your channel because you engage with nationals and bring reality to their culture and everyday life. I have always heard about the dangers of traveling to Zamboanga but you and another vlogger alleviated some of the trepidation I’ve had.

In Southern part of South Asia, people have similarities. Northern and western part of India have similarity in features , while people in North eastern part of India look a lot like SE Asians. Also many are a blend like the Bengalis!

They are medical students and yet they serve and handle plastic cups on the lid itself, not so hygienic future doctors?! The action you represent is not only your future profession that is compromised but the quality of education you had from your medical school. Adapt what one has to do as a future medical professional and not the filthy customs and traditions, especially in food handling. You can eat by your hands yes, many locals do that in the Philippines too but pls use serving spoons especially when you are in a boodle fight, or at least plastic hand gloves. I respect the Indian traditions being a conservative nation but wearing your traditional dress despite the climate in the Philippines I feel like you are putting yourself in an oven and those sweat earn your reputation. So wearing summer clothes, especially a sleeveless dress or shirt is not a revealing clothes in the Philippines.
