This comment is one of my favorites. I hope the whole family keeps this song going for generations. 👍
Picked up an electric after years of not playing, about 3 months now, and am practicing all sorts of rock riffs and scales. I began by playing country so many years ago and thought of this song, found your site. Fortunately I'm getting my calluses back and was able to truly laugh out loud when you said B7! Here I am going through the AC/DC, Clapton, and a whole bunch of other stuff - and you have to say B7. SMH, that's got to be the one chord I have always hated the most. Jimmy Buffet uses it a lot in his tunes as well. I surprised myself that my fingers still remembered it so easily. Anyway, good lesson for beginners. I just need to learn the intro now. Cheers.

Why are you playing it in 6/8ish, It makes the rhythm super wonky. Needs to be in 4/4.
Wait, no one asked about your dog? What's his/her name? (Trying to remember songs about dogs, "Dog named blue?")
I wish I could learn you talked the whole time 😠
Well sorry for the lesson. Here are the 3 chords in the song E, A, B7. In that order over and over again. Now you’re up to speed.
When I learned the country rhythm back in the 70's, along with Spanish rhythms I earned that all the songs revolved around the "Waltz"... Learned the waltz with different chord progressions, Willie Nelson, Hank, Waylon Jennings...chords are chords, the song is in the strum. Learn the waltz and it will change your world.
