I love how this Video makes you feel so calm and all. I also love how he made the Holster. Its incredible how beautiful the end product was! I recently made my own Holster from an old Leather Jacket that i had laying around but wore because it was way to big. Due to the recent skyrocketing in Demand for Self Defense goods, its incredibly hard to get a good Holster in Germany these days, so i had to improvise. It works fine and feels better than Mexican Carry (which i did before) but its not even close to the beauty of this piece. I wish i could make Holsters like that...
I'm a wildlife artist... and as an artist who focuses on the fine details of color, shape and texture when I do a drawing series and then finally the painting... watching you during the process was great fun. I know I have to have one of your chest rigs for an EAA Witness Polymer 9mm (shape very close to the CZ 75).
I really like your chest holster design great for military applications, driving hunting man all around nice design. I have made a lot of the M3 of ww2 shoulder holsters. I like your design because when you draw your pistol the holster stays put. Thumbs up!
I have 3 of his holsters for Sig Sauer P229. Springfield XDM, and Glock 19. I use them a lot and they have held up very well. Great quality, workmanship and style, I will be buying one for my Sig Sauer P329 soon.
Is that like "Fort Clark" (Bracketville, TX)? Sir, excellent leather work. It had been a very long time since I had seen a "walker" sewing machine in action. Not like nowdays that leather craftsmanship uses those 3-, 4-prong forks. Also, I liked your method of covering all the leather with dye/paint. It costs much more, from your end, the first time you use it, but a more professional job all-around. Sir, thank you very much for your produced video ... very educational, and indeed informative.
nice work... enjoyed. 1 question??? since i don't know???? isn't a chest rig kind of dangerous when drawing for your man parts???? just asking???? thx again for video and sharing.
I'd like to get you to build a holster for me. I bought a Taurus judge with the 6.5 barrel and would really like a cross draw with 35 degree slant. I'm right handed. Please let me know wat kind of price and time frame for it, if your interested.
That was Montana Pitch Blend - a combination of Mink oil, Beeswax, and Pine Pitch. It works great to waterproof the leather while adding some moisture after the dying and drying process.
Clark I just ordered today light tan was not sure if I wanted black or brown stitching it sucks to be a Virgo. I’m in Vegas what do you recommend regarding keeping the leather in the low humidity environment? Thanks for the care you build into your products.
Jimmy, you'll have to talk to Gordon over at Paradise Valley Leather as he's making these now. Personally, I've always liked white stitches on a tan holster.
how do you measure to see the perfect length for a custom chest holster? i need one that will fit a kid, lol im only 4,2" tall.. I use To do leatherwork, so I went and bought some tools and leather, I already know how To make the holster but not sure how to do the straps and how to properly measure myself for what I need.
Hello I have a CCP 9 millimeter Walther I am looking for a chest holster for a left handed person, I want the holster to at a 90 d on my chest with a button snap what is your price?
Clark Fork Leather was sold in April. Because it was moved part way across Montana and wasnt near the Clark Fork any more, it was renamed Paradise Valley Leather. You can find PVL on facebook or a quick search for our name.
Honestreview It's a Cowboy 4500 and i love it. This thing will sew through an inch of leather. It's actually a copy of a Juki cylinder bed sewing machine, but made in China instead of Japan. If anyone is interested in one - i got it at Toledo Industrial Sewing.
Hey sorry to ask so many questions bro, but I have been wanting a Techsew 5100, but heard a few bad things about them. Do you know if the Cowboy sewing machines are exactly the same as the Techsew, but with a different name? Thanks man!
+ddw304 I use Blueguns for as much as i can, but they don't make many revolvers, so those have to be the real thing - gives me an excuse to have a nice revolver collection though.
Thanks for checking out the video. I made these holsters for a couple of years and they sold really well. I was able to support my family with the income from the holsters. I'm currently working on bags and wallets, so subscribe to see some upcoming videos that will blow your mind. These holsters are still available at paradisevalleyleather.com/
We use a product called "Montana Pitch Blend" to condition and seal the leather. It's a mixture of mink oil, pine pitch, and beeswax. Works great to restore moisture to the leather and water proof it at the same time. It can be applied in several coats to give it a thick wax coating, or as few as two coats as we do on our holsters. It takes quite a bit of time to apply correctly, as it should be worked in by hand to allow warming of the surface.
No, sorry but i've tried to stay away from knife sheaths - there's just too many knives out there. If you're ever passing through Southwest Montana, you can stop by our shop and i can make one off of your knife.
Adam, Clark Fork Leather shut down and I took over production of the holsters under Paradise Valley Leather. You can find me on Facebook or at paradisevalleyleather.com
Tried to watch 3 times. Fell asleep 3 times. Turned the depressing music back on, and lasted 30 seconds. I'll try again later when I'm really awake and have the tv on to drown out the noise.
+Conan Barnes Thanks Man, that was a lot more work than it looks like, but i'm not really a videographer, so i'm sure it takes me three times as long. If only i could make a video as nice as one of our holsters!
+Warbeast911 Yeah, you're not the only one that's had trouble on eBay. They know about the problem, but won't fix it - stupid things like this that make me want to quit eBay again. Anyway, check out our website. It's always up, and has more options anyway. www.clarkforkleather.com
+Clint Parker I think we can make a holster for your Judge. Send me a message at chris@clarkforkleather.com and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Chris
+archangel20031 You're absolutely right - this is our chest holster, but we do make a shoulder holster using the same holster, just with a different harness. The best thing is that you can buy one holster and two harnesses and have both. I need to get a video up that shows the shoulder holster. clarkforkleather.com/horizontal-shoulder-holster/
+ClarkForkLeather I need a shoulder rig for concealed carry as my 1911 is like a brick on my hip! The chest rig would seem best for back country, hunting in the cold and seated draw. Nobody want's to fumble around to try and dig their gun out from under several layers of winter clothing while sitting down.
Man! A good cup of coffee to start the morning and doing what you enjoy doing the rest of the day.... GOOD LIVING MY FRIEND!!!
I have mine. Absolutely love it. Everything about it is made well. Thank you for work.
The whole video had a very nice flow and extremely nice craftmanship very nice work.
Great video Chris. Excellent Craftmanship. Thanks

What kind of hardware do you use to tie down the straps to the holster? Is there a tie down that combines a swivel and belt loop that tensions?
Hey bro, I subbed just because of this video.. to watch you craft that beautiful piece of artwork.. keep up the great work!
Hay Chris, nicely done video, very informative, and a pleasure to watch. Keep up the good work.

Excellent Vedio. How can I place an order to you for my few guns.
Great video! Towards the end of the video, what was the "balm" you were rubbing on?
That was Montana Pitch Blend - a combination of Mink oil, Beeswax, and Pine Pitch. It works great to waterproof the leather while adding some moisture after the dying and drying process.
Thanks so much for the quick response! Would you be able to tell me where I can get some? Thanks so much again! Greetings from Germany!
Absolutely…well made and Elegant…😊
Nice rig, I would like to find a pattern for one of those.

Hi, Nice looking holster!
Where do you get your leather hides from?
Do you have a reliable source for leather.
And what are you using for your dye that's such an awesome idea keeping it in a sealed container like that.

Col , What sewing machine do you have?

I have the Mini Brute, it will not sew a heavy thread.
I love that carry!

+ClarkForkLeather I'm sure it was! Looks pro, nonetheless. What's the current turnaround time on an order for this chest holster?
About 3-4 weeks. This time of year is busy because everyone wants a holster for hunting.
tried to order at your ebay store, sadly didnt work.

That is not a shoulder holster, it's called a chest rig.
