Started watching your channel few days ago. Great job. I live in So Cal too, OC but grew up in Hawaii and So Bay. My first time in Japan, mostly Kyoto and Tokyo last month for 12 days. I think I'm in pretty good shape for older retired guy, but was exhausted from the pace in the big cities. I'm thinking the crowds, subways, trains...took a toll on me mentally more than physically. I am glad I went and plan to go again next year, but maybe Kobe, Osaka, Nara, and surrounding areas....Looks less hectic. Thinking of looking for guided tours for some of the days. Any suggestion? May stop in Kauai and Big Island next time on the way back for R and R......😊
The amount of walking and stair climbing in Japan is exhausting, lol. On top of that, the crowds in the bigger cities can be overwhelming, especially when it feels like everyone just knows where they're going, so I totally get it! Ending the trip in a relaxing place like Hawaii sounds like an amazing plan. Kauai is my favorite! If you're able to, I recommend venturing down to Kyushu and checking out the areas down there. Fukuoka is a bigger city, but there are a lot of neighboring areas/onsen towns that are less hectic (Beppu/Oita or even Nagasaki). Hiroshima could be a great option if you want to stay in the Kansai region (near Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara). I hope this was helpful! :)
My wife are saving and planning to visit Japan in Fall 2025. One of the places I am interested in is Fukushima however the area is not well served with tours. If you could suggest an itinerary, that would be appreciated.
I am always happy to see your videos. I cannot wait to see more.
thank you so much! you made my day :)
