Remember: Sometimes, it's not all about getting the checkpoints. Once the F-I-N-I-S-H targets are completed multiple times, you'll start scoring like crazy! (Also, that 8-bit music...)

It's noteworthy that while there is exceptional gameplay here, the FUEL special is never completed. I've been working on this game for the last month or so and while I've finished everything else, FUEL has eluded me. It's easy to exit the upper playfield by accident, and the timer is short, so you have to keep it in there. But it's also so crowded that you can't react to the bounces well. The best I've managed to figure out is that holding the flippers up - mostly the right one - gives more options for control on average.

I can’t understand, why go for the FINISH targets? The multiplier is for the Bonus that’s for sure, but does that affect Playfield Multiplier too? Because the Checkpoint scores aren’t Multiplied when I played this table. So I don’t think that’s good and tend to avoid it unless on one situation, that’s after getting the Extra Ball and the current checkpoint has timed out.

I have fond memories of ripping one of these to shreds in the UNLV Student Union arcade back when it was new. Extra balls didn't stack on that machine like they tend to in just about all Pinball Arcade games, so my high score was probably in the 40-50 million range.
I remember how upset I got when I learned that if you went through the checkpoints too fast, the fucking game stopped giving you credit for them! This meant you had to artificially slow down your play and screw up your whole rhythm so as not to lose too much score as the timers wound down. =)
