GIFs are raster images for it cannot be converted directly. I'm not very sure but you can try to import the image sequence in any of these tools and try it.

I had same problem in windows, but I fix it changing the path in one file and then, I can export without problem.

Discord stickers support APNGs. Theres plenty of GIF to APNG converters online.

I don't think Animate can export in lottie json format yet. Not sure if there is any new plugin for it.
