Dude- go to South Carolina, if you're stationed in NC. It's the retail mecca of fireworks in the South! Jabs, Poor Paul's, Flash's, Fireworks Supermarket, etc. All are great places, and a HELL of a lot closer than Myrtle Beach!
No they aren't a national chain, but I shop at several different locations. One is the firework superstore tour video I did. Majority of my fireworks come from a seasonal location close to my home town
I'll be doing a tour of most of the stores in New Hampshire next week. I've already seen Phantom raise their prices back in May so it will be interesting to see the difference.
The phantom fireworks in Pahrump NV. It's buy 1 get 2 free and you can mix and match at same price. So it comes out to the same as all your other places you've shown. Thats all year. I think each phantom store is individually run so the managers sets the deals.
My brothers and I went this past weekend and took advantage of the Father's day specials. That's the sort of thing you have to look for. We got the "Contraband" 24 shot Canister shell assortment for 70 bucks(reg. 170) Phantom runs great specials. We are premiere members and it has its perks.
Ross Love Just to add to what Ross stated, you have to use coupons at Phantom. March 2015 in Michigan they have Buy 1 Get 2. It is the only way to buy..... This year they ran a special, if you buy $99 worth you get another 500gram cake ($99 value) for $25 bucks. So I was able to grab 4 nice 500gram cakes (using the "B1G2" and the coupon stacked) for 140 bucks, tax included (12%). So you pay $35 bucks per cake which is what I expect to pay. I do not buy my mortars here. I found a place near me that sell Excals for 49 bucks...
170$ for a pack of 24 shells??? Dude where I go for wholesale I can get a case of shells for 130-160.. that's 96 canister shells.. find a wholesale location because they screwed you. Just saying
That would be really awesome! I bought some stuff that I will probably mention in an upcoming video, but just some firecrackers. Unfortunately, the stand across the street was closed.
I really appreciate that and hope you help clarify a few things up because I would like to get that information out there to everyone else as well! Thanks a lot!
This is where I believe you can get the best deals from them. Of course I won't be spending as much with them this year. I have my Type54 and will put some of my budget towards professional fireworks.
Phantom fireworks is awesome. I'm goin there this week to pick an assortment just for fun. It's the jumbo rocket bag assortment can't wait to get, I hope it's buy one get one free, but I wish u would have made to tour longer
I live in Minnesota so its the law that you cant have any fireworks over 6ft but last year we shot a few big fireworks off, but damn I really want to go in one of those stores its like a heaven for people who love fireworks!
I've shopped at many places for fireworks and I recently went to a phantom fireworks in Indiana. They too had the BOGO, but everything that I saw was marked up. For example, One Bad Mother cakes were $99.99, which is $50 a piece. I went to Jake's fireworks and bought the exact same thing for BOGO at $40, or $20 a piece. That alone, I would have lost out on $60 worth of fireworks. Heck, If you noticed the flyer, whistle bottle rockets was valued at $16.99, who actually would pay that much for cheap bottle rockets. Even expensive shops they cost about $9.99(Jake's had theirs for BOGO at $5.99).
Down right on the Missouri-Arkansas border is where I buy my fireworks It's in Kennett Missouri it's called Wilson fireworks there prices are extremely cheap the only downfall is they keep some fireworks in stock for 1-2 years so If you buy cheap bottle rocket's there tend to be a lot of dud's but i've never had a shell or anything dud out on me.
If you're from the chicagoland area Boomtown Fireworks in Dyer IN is the closest place and has incredibly low prices. Huge selection of everything, you won't be disappointed. Only time I would ever go to phantom is for the buy one get two free, and I'd probably only get smaller things like roman candles and firecrakers.

Phantom in Pahrump NV is BOGTF on everything so if you're careful you can get a bunch without dropping too damn much.
I am from Washington DC. I travel to PA, which has the closest Phantom fireworks store to me.. I agree that some items arent cheap, but from my experiences in dealing with them, their customer service is great and I get a TON of deals sent to me by email(which is during the time i dont have any money...lol).. Also, i've narrowed down my selection of items, which saves me money as well..
Our Meet Mr. Big shells are a huge deal. I know you have made a previous video on them. All of our State bombers are recommended.(200 gram cakes) We now have bigger boxes of canister shells. We no longer are just limited to the Meet Mr. Big 6 piece and 24 piece. We have numerous large boxes of the canister shell such as the White Rhino which is a 120 canister shell kit for about $300. We have a few new 500gram cakes here and there. If you have any questions on products or prices let me know.
I could not agree more. I work for Shelton Fireworks and have visited Phantom and have done my research. Their prices are terribly high compared to the competition. I easily recommend Shelton for the prices.
Of course I bought something, when do you go to a firework store and not buy something! If you watched more of my videos you will see some Phantom product come up.
The way i see it is that is your looking to do all your shopping at once at the same store Phantom is not the store to go to. But if u sign up for all the little clubs or what ever (the free ones) u can get there coupons every 2 weeks or so, with the coupons there prices are hard to beat. so u just have to shop the right way at phantom that's all
Went to the one in Chester PA yesterday. At first we were thrown back from the pricing as well until you find out everything is buy one get one. Then it's not so bad. Here's what confuses people. The stores are strategically placed close to state lines enticing out of state patrons. In PA, as a resident you cannot legally even enter the store and you have to show out of state ID to shop. In my state it's not legal to buy or possess fireworks so the whole ordeal is very sketchy, which they make you sign a waiver of liability statement protecting them. THEN, out in the parking lot is a patrolman hiding back in the lot. They can't legally stop you because as an out of state customer you aren't breaking any laws until you cross back into your own state. After that they have no jurisdiction anyway and can really only radio ahead to your state police to alert you are returning with illegal goods. Not worth their time over $200 worth of boom booms. Now if you back a truck up to the store and load $5000 worth then I'm sure you'd be tailed a bit and your info forwarded but it's not worth their time on the little guys. I really don't understand the laws as I can buy a gun in my state but sparklers and throw snaps are illegal. It's stupid.
None taken. I'm from NJ so buying fireworks isn't something you can do regularly. I know the tax revenue is more beneficial to the selling state and that's why they allow it, with no liability at all (hence the waiver you sign).
Wow, they just have the fireworks on the shelves and let you pick them up yourself? In this country they usually have 'dummy' fireworks on display; the actual 'live' fireworks are stored in a secure staff-only area - brought out when you decide what to buy.
All firework companies are extremely profitable. Excalibur only cost about $5 to make. I worked at a firework production facility once. Phantom is just trying to get even more than the 100% chance of extreme profit.
I've been to Shelton's several times since there is a location somewhat close (St. Francisville, Missouri). I was actually thinking about doing a Shelton's tour next week lol. Any insight to include in the video since you work at a Shelton's location?
Its like you said...Phantom does have some good deals and promotions, if you have a higher budget. If your budget around 100 bucks you cant beat the wholesale prices for getting more for your buck Then again you can always mix and match, that's where the best value is and what I do and other people I know do, most places put their prices up online.
I hate Phantom because of there prices on the big shit, but they do have the best selection of firecrackers, like the m-100s and the 100 string silver crackers (and their prices for firecrackers are actually around the same as most retailers). Those silver crackers are so powerful that if you put 1 in an empty water bottle, it will literally tear it open! I say that from experience, lol! I've been to Phantom once during my early years of buying fireworks and I've never went back again. I just can't justify driving out to there just to get some firecrackers. I'll stick to wholesale stores which are much more reasonable when it comes to mortars, shells, and cakes.
Phantom has great product, but unless you have a lot of coupons and shop the right way, you can end up spending way too much for certain items, particularly 500 gram cakes. I just went there a few weeks ago and I used their buy 1 get 2 free coupon which made the prices pretty reasonable. If I didn't have that coupon, it wouldn't have been worth it; but when they have good coupons then they're a decent place to shop at. I'm a wholesale guy though, so most of my budget goes towards buying fireworks by the case.
I shopped for my fireworks at the Phantom in myrtle beach this year. Their prices were cheaper than the other Phantom stores since they don't have the buy 1 get 1 free, but for every $100 you get a free 500 gram cake. I was wondering if you suggest ordering online from a different place or driving to a location near NC. I want the best bang for my bucks. BTW I just subscribed to your channel
I'm gonna have to agree with Joel. You shouldn't have to go at a certain time of the year for the prices to be reasonable. I understand the convenience though.
I agree with you they jack up there prices, then say buy one get one free so half of 170 for the ex-cals = 85 so basically you are paying what they usually go for? Went there once and never again, I know some people cant really go anywhere else. Great video and thanks for sharing. Wholesale is the way to go lol .
one thing i will say about phantom..these stores are immaculate. the big stuff is always wicked expensive so it pays to wait for deals, as there are several throughout the year. anyway you look at it, you feel like a kid in the coolest toy store...there is definitely no 'running in for a second' shopping here! addictive collossal waste of money
Interesting you should choose the Wright City store. Are you from around there? I'm not too far, in the Troy\Moscow Mills area and I shop at this store every year. Now I will have to agree the prices are not the best, but you have to understand that this is a brick and morter store. It is not a tent. They have to cover the extra expense of operating a building instead of a temporary lot with a tent.
Phantom prices are same as anywhere else. You just gotta shop at right time.. I went mid may. I spent 420 dollars. They have tons of coupons every year for different things. I used a gas coupon I got a 70 dollar item free. Another coupon for any 179, 99, 34 dollar item get those three for 99. Another coupon for spend 400 get 300 so I picked out 300 bucks of fireworks. Then bouns chart gave me another 120 dollars worth. I got like 700 dollars of free stuff and I got to pick it all out besides 120 dollars of it...
your right dude Phantom has awful prices, but unfortunatly they are pretty much the only nationwide firework company. They are the only one near me in florida anyway. The only way you can get a decent deal is to become a premier member and buy fireworks by the case. The best example would be the copperhead mini-shell kit. In a kit you get 6 shots, and a case you get 24 kits and with the 50% off it costs 144.50. That means 144 decent shots at a dollar a piece.
One thing that was incorrectly stated. You have to look at the bonus value items. It's more about what they're worth in total, meaning the bottom line. This is because if you don't like their free bonus items, you can technically replace them with other items of equal worth in the store. I've done the math. If you become a Premier member, you end up with just as much product as you would at the wholesalers; at least by me. To be honest, Phantom isn't the store you go to, if you're looking to put on a small show or are only looking for a couple of items. However, if you go Premier, Phantom Fireworks is the best. You spend a lot and they will work with you. To add to that, they really only sell top of the line Consumer Class product.
Bill Sheridan I'd agree. Phantom is the closest place to me, I could probably find a place with cheaper stuff, but when you factor in the time and gas, Phantom is the better deal. Plus, if I have a shell that doesn't go off, they replace it with a whole box. (granted if 1 out of a 74 pack doesn't go off they won't give you that whole package, but they'd replace it with a half dozen box or so.) Quality stuff.
Bill Sheridan Agree 100%, Bill. My brothers and I went there this weekend. At our local store here in Ohio, they were running a special where you got free fireworks just for presenting a gas receipt at the register. We got a free 50$ 500 Gram cake just for buying gas. No other store around here does that. And yes, it's true that they get you with the "buy one, get one free" stuff but the prices are about the same anywhere.
Ross Love How do you think they can afford to give away free $50 products and 2 for 1's etc? Think about it. Someone, like you, are paying thru the nose that is actually about 5 to 10 times the price of a real fireworks outlet.
How much money do you usually spend when you buy fireworks? and btw usa have so much fireworks and firecrackers, im very jealous because sweden doesn't have much at all.
Phantom has very good brand recognition and they market their products well, but I do believe the prices even with the deals are still not that good. I have watched a couple product demos and their products do seem to have high quality, but I don't think that quality is worth 2-3 times the price.
question: the buy one get one free deal.. is that only redeemable on one product? for instance i buy a rocket assortment and a package of silver salutes do i get two of each or can i only claim it on one item?
Spend 700 at phantom and it could fit in my trunk and back seat of my car. Spend 700 at wfboom and fill up the bed of an S10 truck with a raised cab and possibly a little overflow that you need to put in a 2nd vehicle.
if you go early before june and you spend at least 300$ you get 300$ free plus the 50% off plus the premier bonuses plus facebook coupons plus extra offers. so the only way to get the best deals are before june.
I was able to get the Silver Salute Show in an assortment I bought this year from them, and I LOVE it! Nice loud THUMP! on launch, and a big break, and loud report. Great item.
Hey! I'm Reinout from Holland and in Holland they don't sell allot of fireworks. We don't even have open stores like in America. Well, a few months ago I saw a cake on the internet, and it shot smokebombs up into the sky with a smoke tail. Could you show a cake like that or maybe in a next tour, it's other than the mainstream stuff haha.
I've been to that one before, almost had a heart attack when I saw the prices. There is a tent just down the road from them that sells fireworks just as good for half the price. Phantom is nice, but you are just paying for the name. There's a place northeast of granite city that sells stuff for cheap cheap cheap. No idea you lived in Edwardsville! I live down in Carlyle. Subbed lol
They came out with new coupons....if you spend 169$ you get 100-140$ in fireworks free. It depends on what time you go. If you between May 1-31 the you get 140$ free. If you between June 1-25 then you get 120$ free. Etc. On top of that it's buy 1 get 1 free and they have the Premier Bonus Chart.
Lets say you spend 400 dollars and you get something free. You don't have the premier club yet but this is the first time you go.when they sign you up the day will you get the rewards?
The coupons that you get emailed to you if you sign up online are expensive items (usually $100-$200) for about a third of the price. But the only catch is no buy one get one free
Phantom is only good if your a reseller. You have other people buy the fireworks and you keep the free stuff lol that's what I do! They are pricey but I'm not the one coming out of pocket good luck everyone this year and have a safe 4th of July
A lot of this is simple, most places that don't have fireworks location will always have a phantom around them, this means they can charge whatever they want and they know this...Now here were I live we basically have 3 places within 30 miles...none is really better than the other with prices although the three sell different things...I went to phantom because they had a by one get two free deal..so that actually was a good deal got 3 assortments
Pyrotech Nick I'm not sure what that membership entails. From what I have seen, you can normally find better deals at other stores. However, when phantom does the buy one, get two free along with other incentatives it can be worth it.
WOW! I live in Brazil, and i need to say, buying fireworks on us looks pretty damm funnier than here. We need to make a list, then they pick up the think for ya, if i could walk around chosing what i was about to buy i would br REALLY happy.
I am a phantom premier member and the way that it is cheap is for the small stuff. 18 year old kids go in there and get firecrackers which aren't overpriced bc they are cheap items anyway and they get double that with the buy one get one free offer. But if you are looking to put on a show, there big stuff is way overpriced and even the buy one get one free is a rip off but the only reason I go there is to buy firecrackers and 200 gram cakes bc it comes out to be better that the others
Here we observe Joel Robinson in his natural habitat. Keep up the great videos! :)
Lmao! It's the truth

Ya same with Area 51 fireworks not a big deal
Great video. Just saw this after having sent Phantom an email regarding my yesterdays visit. Great selection, very high prices.

Yeah it's called "modern slavery" the companies pay the workers very little and they sale the products with an extremely profitable price smh
Oh well that does suck. Absolutely! I'd like to see everyone's pictures!
I've been to Shelton's several times since there is a location somewhat close (St. Francisville, Missouri). I was actually thinking about doing a Shelton's tour next week lol. Any insight to include in the video since you work at a Shelton's location?

pimpdaddee28 i think their assortments are a deal
You saved me a trip. Thank you
I appreciate it!
There is a closer phantom fireworks near Illinois Its in Indiana its in a city called Meriville, IN If you you wwant to check that out too!
Thanks man!
I'm gonna have to agree with Joel. You shouldn't have to go at a certain time of the year for the prices to be reasonable. I understand the convenience though.

did you get pulled over that day? phantom is high priced.
I was told directly by the manager that those offers don't stack.

I went to phantom once I got for things and it costed about 200.00 at least. But they have very good fireworks
no problem thanks for the upload
that's the one in Pennsylvania right I live like 40 minutes away in NJ
The reason why I said near NC is because that's where I am stationed at right now.
Someone, like you, are paying thru the nose that is actually about 5 to 10 times the price of a real fireworks outlet.
warrior7772 We got a bunch of stuff for a good show for around 350. We got about 200 dollars extra in free items.
How much money do you usually spend when you buy fireworks? and btw usa have so much fireworks and firecrackers, im very jealous because sweden doesn't have much at all.
I wish I could go to WF boom to buy it but it would take 15hrs
Phantom has very good brand recognition and they market their products well, but I do believe the prices even with the deals are still not that good. I have watched a couple product demos and their products do seem to have high quality, but I don't think that quality is worth 2-3 times the price.
Did they have camera's in the store because want to make sure that i went to the one you went
question: the buy one get one free deal.. is that only redeemable on one product? for instance i buy a rocket assortment and a package of silver salutes do i get two of each or can i only claim it on one item?
I have just one question.. Where do you shop for your fireworks, at cheaper prices than Phantom fireworks??? Are they a national chain??
Spend 700 at phantom and it could fit in my trunk and back seat of my car. Spend 700 at wfboom and fill up the bed of an S10 truck with a raised cab and possibly a little overflow that you need to put in a 2nd vehicle.
if you go early before june and you spend at least 300$ you get 300$ free plus the 50% off plus the premier bonuses plus facebook coupons plus extra offers. so the only way to get the best deals are before june.
Their quality is amazing tho. If you do go there, buy the silver salutes, they are the bomb
I was able to get the Silver Salute Show in an assortment I bought this year from them, and I LOVE it! Nice loud THUMP! on launch, and a big break, and loud report. Great item.
Phantom rips people off so fuqing much, it pisses me off. $90 for a box of excels. I could get 6 for $200
It’s like 80 for excels in pa at any of the shops
StarBuds 420 that’s retail wholesale is different prices
Illinois, but I do visit Ohio from time to time
Subbed lol
Phantom in NH is a lot less expensive and seems like every week is a buy one get one sale.
what part of illinois cause i live here to and i just when to indiana today to get some fireworks form phantom
1st nice video I always watch your videos!
Thanks, I was actually kinda worried about making this video because I thought a lot of people were going to be offended lol
If I can find a cake like that, I sure will!
Go there either on or after the fourth u get huge discounts. We got what would normally be 700$ before the foruth we got it for 369$ on the fifth
i like in illinois to rockford you should have went to the one in wisconson i do not know if i put wisconson right but i do not care
you live in illinois can you do a tour of boomtown in indiana ? pleasee i hear that its a good store
great video!
Lets say you spend 400 dollars and you get something free. You don't have the premier club yet but this is the first time you go.when they sign you up the day will you get the rewards?
awesome video bro. you hit the nail on the coffin they are way overpriced
The coupons that you get emailed to you if you sign up online are expensive items (usually $100-$200) for about a third of the price. But the only catch is no buy one get one free
right now they got buy 1 get 2 free for anything under 499
Thank you for watching! It helps my channel grow!
You said when you go to phantom they ask for your i.d. Dont they see your from illinois?
I LOVE Phantom. Favorite fireworks ever.
EmilyBehm98 yes but worse prices on the market
is it possible for a foreigner to buy fireworks in such place?
Please help me joel!
I really want to try mortars and firecrackers! Will ANY website ship to norway?
how old you gotta be to but phantoom fireworks?
were is that phantom firework store located at im to lazy to replay the video and find it because that looks like the one i go to
Codythegamer Dight don't go
Hey joel, do you have to be a citizen to buy from them? I mean like can you show your college student ID to buy??
Phantom is only good if your a reseller. You have other people buy the fireworks and you keep the free stuff lol that's what I do! They are pricey but I'm not the one coming out of pocket good luck everyone this year and have a safe 4th of July
A lot of this is simple, most places that don't have fireworks location will always have a phantom around them, this means they can charge whatever they want and they know this...Now here were I live we basically have 3 places within 30 miles...none is really better than the other with prices although the three sell different things...I went to phantom because they had a by one get two free deal..so that actually was a good deal got 3 assortments
Phantom is king. Quality is top notch.
If your rich lol BIG, Black Cat, World Class, Great Grizzly have better more affordable products imo.
Is the premiere membership worth it?
Pyrotech Nick I'm not sure what that membership entails. From what I have seen, you can normally find better deals at other stores. However, when phantom does the buy one, get two free along with other incentatives it can be worth it.
Price is too high, but they do got some deals such as buy one get two free at selected showrooms
I might buy these fireworks but we will see
Could you write where is this shop?
