    When I realized TS can drink to conversion at will, the decision was made lol it feels really strong, still finding ways to use it/optimize

    Conversion is a neat idea but it mostly only seems viable as a strategy to troubleshooter or berserker who can manually trigger it, because you don't get white health if you're hit with an mp skill.

    I honestly don't like conversion in this game. It's so much less interesting than traditional RC. Grey health goes away so quickly that most characters rarely have the ability to use it for pressure or combo extensions it's mostly just a tool to safely whiff and recover quickly. It's also incredibly difficult to tell if you have a very small amount of grey life to go for a conversion, so you might just try it and get nothing because you had a tiny bit but it ran out during a blockstring. Trouble shooter and Berserker are the only characters that can really engage heavily with the mechanic. If they had a way to let you choose to keep grey life or regenerate it, that would be solve the issue with it.

      tbh its all about the situation. having to choose would just be simply NOT DOING IT or using it. you pick if you want to use it.. there is no reason to to it with 5% unless you are actively using it for some reason. but again its your choice. its actually more interesting then Basic RC due to the fact its using HP so you HAVE TO BE SMART doing RC is not that hard logically because its just meter all of them are fine but that you burn HP makes it have more weight within the match.

      @@The_WIll_OF_D99 Sure but as pointed out in the original comment, the moments you can make use of it are few and far between unless you play troubleshooter or berserker. Combos will basically never leave you with white health and getting it from blockstrings still means you have to either get out of pressure and get in or if the blockstring resets the game to neutral you have to play neutral and get in to use conversion. It's not bad theoretically to say that yes you have a choice to make so it makes it more of a ''risk reward'' mechanic but in fact it is just not as interesting because you get very little opportunities to make that choice to begin with.

      Just because 2 characters have access to it more often doesn't take way anything 😐
      You have options to do this very often. Many other players and tournament players use it often even if you are not those 2 characters.
      You blocking gives you white HP you being able to take that away from others is always good.
      I don't just main Berserker I also main Swift master and currently learning Ghost blade. I block I move I combo and I always use it WHEN NECESSARY.
      It's a good to tool to use I've lives and breath GG and I can say this is cooler and just as deep.
      If me and other players can find use for it in a lot of cases then WTF are you doing?
      Just lab you have the tools just USE IT.

      Yes you should be able to bank like 2 charges of it but it costs a small debuff like increased combo scaling on top of losing health. That would be fun.

    i dont speak good english but at 3:30 i think you say the punch is high but why the punch don t affect the dummy?

    Using Conversion to manually trigger awakening definitely adds another layer to the gameplay
    Seems like a more intuitive way of getting awakening as opposed to furious actions in persona

    Im still learning and practicing conversion setups with berserker and its alot harder trying to meter manage as well as health manage since Frenzy makes his MP skills cost more meter sadly. You can die very quickly if you arent careful with him.

      Only his MS/X ability when under frenzy cost the most. All his other MP skills costs the same no matter what. The only difference is is that they have different properties when enhanced by frenzy. Both forward MS/X and MS/X under frenzy when they land do a wall bounce which you can use conversion, channel another frenzy if you have another 30 mp to run up and continue a combo. Just watch how many hits you do in the combo when that happens though. The character can bounce out id you are not too careful.
      I have a wall to wall combo into his special, which you need a minimum of 50% health to do on my channel if you want to check it out🙏. You also don't need to technical inputs for it because once you land and the cutscene for the specials ends, you at least have another 100 gauge or more to play with, regardless of the penalty you get for using a skill that goes over your mp count🙏

      Yeah, it's mechanic was almost identical. But I imagine most people haven't played TvC before.

    meanwhile i'm over here trying to figure out how to go to the next part of the tutorial because they're asking me to press the right stick to progress but i'm using an arcade stick that doesnt have that.... Looking at your video i'm even wondering how you got your inputs to show up as the game actual buttons instead of the fucking xbox controller layout. If anybody has any advice for me I'd love it. I don't want to resort to using to an actual controller instead of my stick.

      If you have an 8 button stick you can rebind the R3 input to L2 as L2 isn't bound to anything with the default bindings iirc

      ​@@Zelphiez Yeah but im using all my 8 buttons though.... I don't wanna remap controls everytime I'm doing a combo trial or some shit... tbh im a bit disapointed with this game. The fun factor is 1000 in a match but anything else in this game feels rushed out. There's not even a proper "settings" menu. It feels like I paid full price for a game still in beta. Idk how arcsys can do things so right with guilty gear and then do things so wrong with this one.... just my personal opinion but yeah. I just don't understand how you can release a fighting game in todays day and age and not think people are gonna play it on a stick or a hitbox or something.... idk man

    To be fair I'm more struggling with combo inputs that require pre done inputs + crazy timing issues on grappler. The game seems to operate in its own imaginary input world devoid of what's on screen.

      Maybe I haven’t gotten that deep to where you are yet because I haven’t fucked with grappler yet but to me it just feels like this game has a FAT buffer window meaning like you can input a dash or something at the end of but before another animation ends if that makes sense.

      @@chekerz123456789 So specifically with grappler combos require "charge" but the window to correctly charge is completely invisible and not based on any animation AND you can't pre buffer. So you're supposed to hold the button in a 1-2 frame window AND release in a 1-2 frame window. It's insane
      At least for the combos involving that, which is why nobody is picking up grappler

      @@ShouVertica I’ve been playing a lot of grappler and I don’t know if the timing window is that strict. And for most of the combos you can hold the charge until it auto releases and do everything fine, that’s what I’ve been doing.

      @@ShouVertica I’ve spent a decent time in training mode and online, I haven’t had that many issues with it. To be fair, I don’t use that charge much in combos but I’ve still practiced it. My biggest problem was timing the 5MS stomps at first but once I got that i was fine

    I think what people aren't getting is that if this was on command it'd be broken. I.e. trouble shooter and berserker. But what they're playing is a risk v reward game.
    What everyone else is doing, is using conversion as a reversal mechanic. Because that's what it is, a reversal mechanic. Suddenly getting 100 mp mid combo because you got your ass knocked IS a reversal.
    What's crazy is that white life gets depleted when health hits zero. That means there's a plausible reason to not use EX moves during combos to build it up and then absolutely pressure body someone into losing said white life through chip OR getting mixed up. This is insane
