Just got to add, they are one of the absolutely best live bands out there. Totally up there with bands like Tool and Swans when it comes to emotional impact live. They have done so many different and experimental things out through the years, incredible amount of material to go through.. almost too much. 😅 Lastly, the bass player is named Bent Sæther and is a total legend here known for his wide knowledge of everything progressive and obscure. His bass-tone is known as "Tractor-bass" and har inspired young men and women from rural districts for decades 😆
Perfect rundown of the song, Dean! I actually felt like I was at an open-air summer concert while listening to this. I felt the breeze blowing against my face, smelled that pleasant mixture of fresh beer, man smell, ciggs and whiffs of pot, patchouli, etc that you get when at such venues... It really transported me.
The difference in generations perhaps, now in my 60s I have no trouble listening to 20mins plus. Grew up listening to prog and nearly always play complete albums. Younger generations just don't seem to have the willingness to do nothing else but sit and listen to great music for hours at a time. Even when I was only 14, I'd get home from school and spend the rest of the day, sometimes 5 to 6 hours, just listening to music. Doing nothing else, actively listening. People don't seem to be able to do that, shame, I still do when life allows, making the time. Motorpsycho are definitely worth the pleasure, it's not an effort. 👍
