I just bought my first bike 2 days ago. A 2019 SV650. I've ridden the Gladius when I took my license, and I testrode an SV650 at the dealership. It's a great bike, and I am so stoked to go pick it up next wednesday!
Love your vids papa yam! FYI your splice solder didn’t melt so it didn’t connect properly. Solder typically melts at 300C and the hair dyer won’t be capable of that. For best results and longevity you need to get that metal lug in the splice to melt and disperse through the wires
I just got this bike a few days ago after passing my full test in the UK. Goodbye 125 and hello power! But seriously I’m in love already. Fantastic bike and honestly soo easy to get on with.
Why manufactures put those hideous looking stock tails on bikes is beyond me. The video and audio were spot on during the ride along. Thanks for taking us along with you.
By the law the license plate has to be on the same line with the furthest out-sticking part of the bike (that's the back of your backwheel). Hence these atrocities by the manufacturers on sport bikes.
I know what you're talking about with the turning, I think it's the upright position with a steep rake. I have a real old school enduro bike that doesn't countersteer at all until you're going like 35mph. It's much more bicycle-ish in its handling.
I've got an sv650. At slow speed it does not 'tip in' at lot at slow speed. This makes slow speed turning very easy if you are new. I think its because the centre of gravity is so low compared to a parellel twin or an in inline 4. Anyway, compared to the ~2000 600 bandit I've riden the SV is a dream. Light, smooth, quick and so easy at any speed, low high what ever. Damn it feels so refined so for little money. I'll be honest though I've new owner love :) Anyway the bandit 600 when doing full lock turns, you have to lean it a fair bit so throttle pull is a must, the sv is way more forgiving for me anyway. Maybe its the anti stall thing. either way it feels reallty secure and solid. Saying that the street triples feel that way even though they have terrible steering lock.
Pretty sure the ruckus is popular because it has the bigger tires and doesn't require an endorsement. Also i think it has the cvt AND centrifugal cutch.
I have a Kawasaki ER-6N (650cc) and at low speed turns (roundabouts) I feel wrong, like the bike doesn't want to turn. I don't know if it's me that I don't lean that much or if it's the bike that "turns" instead of "leans" as you say
This camera setup is a better view. 70 horsepower is enough to do dank nooners, especially by accident for a beginner. I suggest riding a 250 to 400cc for at least 3 days first- maybe rent or borrow one, so you have some basics down for clutch and throttle control. Jake the Garden Snake has some videos about supermotos.
Papa green eggs and yams. Question: what is your opinion on the rider-share website. I have a 954rr and a cb500f. I got the 500f financed brand new and thinking about renting it out to make extra cash. I'm not in financial trouble but I figured if it makes money why not make some revenue before I will eventually sell it and get a more powerful middle weight like the xsr700/900. The big hurdle for me is trusting people to not redline it to oblivion and dog the bike out whenever they go. Or for example they could take the bike to the track without me knowing. Third party insurance is nice and so is keeping 75% commission from the rent, but I'm still on the fence.
Serious question when talking about the Suzuki gsxr k5 when using the k I read that it is only referring to the 1000s not the 600/750. Please make a video with the answer, it will have Suzuki guys lose their minds if it’s only for 1000s
Every possible thumbs up for the honesty of a 1 hour project turning into a 2 hour ordeal. Kudos on using the hair dryer: a blatant case of 'women-spreading' my term when girls leave their stuff at your place to mark their territory.
Plz can some1 help.me out i was looking for a Kawasaki bike but i want 1 that is great for handling and long road trips and really comfortable which Kawasaki would you recommend for this?
Vulcan S with an aftermarket windscreen - the seat and foot position will allow you to do long trips with absolute ease, windscreen's the only thing missing from the factory. Without the windscreen you get quite an amount of wind and bugs in your face.
You don’t have to pay to enter for a chance to win. But you do have to pay for a better chance to win. Plus the winner is only chosen after you have made the amount of money you deemed necessary.
Paintball the homeless people off the bike yo lol that sv has enough power to get you in trouble but my r1 has more than enough to get you out of trouble 😁
if your interested his theme music is Opus III 'it's a fine day' (1992) - and yes that does make me waay older..
really liking the sv 650 man i'd like one as my next bike...maybe even the one in your garage haha!

Yam taking care of his bikes like they're his children, so sweet
like it's his woman..
I really don't mind the long tail on the SV. On something like the CB650R, yes, it's ugly, but i think on the SV it's pretty tastefully done!
Oh, and that sliver ring in those butt connectors, it's solder. If you keep the heat on it longer, it will bind.
I love hearing that intro. Gives the channel a great vibe

Every time I see this bike, that blue just looks so good.

That looks a lot better now. Awesome job.

Hey Yam i love your helmet. Which arrai helmet is it and what headshape does it fit?
Sam’s BBQ still there?
That SV is looking sweet btw! I just put a Yoshi Tail Tidy on my Street Triple 765 R yesterday!! Rad

Sweet papa yam and his soothing voice putting me to sleep at night.

@Michael Moretti at 25 km/h there's no counter-steering. Maybe I am not used to the weight of the bike yet (have it for 2 weeks)
Hi Yammie, what software do you use to edit your video ?
I love seeing your face in the morning yam
The begining music reminds me of being a kid and watching a short film in class lol good stuff broski
you can stand and zip around quite a bit on the sv650 it doesnt have off road tires but still has good dirt road capabliity dont you think?

Hey Yammie ! Love Everything!
forgot to show what the whole thing looks like from the rear after ..
You look like Logic's younger brother who never quite grew out of his teenage appearance
it drives me crazy, when you're standing behind cars.
I know it's against the law to lane split. but still....
Take a chill pill..
What type of spectacles are they? Very cool.

Can I get a link to where you got your GoPro chin mount?
Hey Yammie what was the model of the yoshimura tail tidy?
Is your garage a rental storage unit? I did that when I was a teenager so my mother never knew I had a bike.
Thats just great lmao.........

Damn that looks good
I’m thinking about my getting an SV650 for my first bike
WTF YAMMIE?!?!? Brasileiro?????? Caraaaaaaaaaaalho Eu jamais nos meus mais remotos sonhos iria imaginar!!!!! How cool is that????

To any current a2 Euro bros is it worth getting a bigger bike then restricting it or just getting a a2 legal bike thanks 👍🏿
Get an bigger bike which is like under 190 kg.. they ride the best and have way better quality than the 300s
What gloves are those?????
Is that pocket closed no 😅😂
The scrambler vlog
Nah man, the sv does feel wonky at low speeds. Well, if that one is anything like the 03.
Right on time
Me: i should go outside

I have been looking at some new bikes. Many of them need tail tidy. What they come with looks stupid and just tacked on as an after thought..

Seems like taller bikes suck at low speeds
... I had auto play on, and could have sworn I was listening to David Cross at first lol
I don't see why anyone put those same lights back on the bike. They're odious and bulky AF
I bought a snapback from your merch store, I hope I'm one of the lucky 2 to be picked for the giveaway. Ride safe yammie noob.
