    Over 14 years in Britain but still talks kiswahili ya mtaa, hana accent and is simple. Kudos Cpl Kisila. You truly espouse the Kenyan spirit that is simple and humble outwardly but beneath it lies a fierce and competitive demeanor

    I love the fact that Cpl. Mawia mentioned how black people contributed to World Wars in Europe and specifically mentioned Kenya. I have valued the Day of Remembrance as an African living in the UK since I moved here. Very few of us celebrate it because it's deemed as something of no significance to black people. Caribbeans even have a monument for fallen World War 2 black caribbean soldiers in Brixton, London. Thank you for documenting this story. I found it very inspiring.

    • @ericmwenda6197
      @ericmwenda6197 ปีที่แล้ว

      A good question, I will answer it from consulting genuine theological pastors for a long time.
      If you look at the old testament, the study of God's patriarchs like Moses, Joshua, Abraham, King David, Gideon, it's the study of wars and warriors.
      In the new testament we have the Centurion (Luke 7:1-10) who commanded an Italian regiment as the Bible describes him and notes that he was God fearing and generous. But more so he had extraordinary faith that made even Jesus himself to marvel.
      In the real world, a number of current international Bishops were former military men. I personally know 4: two served in Vietnam, one in world war 2, and the other gulf war one. They're from different nationalities but all have one thing in common, they say military service inspired them to be clergymen and men of God. The endurance, discipline, brotherhood and comradeship from the army helped them to be successful pastors, clergymen and church leaders.
      Bottomline, serving in the military is not only OK for Christians but it signifies a higher calling in one's life to serve one's nation dutifully and with patriotism. Its not about killing people only 🤣🤣🤣, because I know that where people's conscience is challenged.
      In some situations, military men are more prayerful and more Godly than civilians in the extreme case of trials.
      God Himself is a "Man of war" (Exodus 15:3) "mighty in battle" read for yourself.
