Gorgeous art, thoughtful words & life, as always... Wonderful to see Mark & Carol and apprentices. "It's a small part to play, but I'm going to play it with all my heart." What beautiful community we could build if we all thought like this, and what beautiful community you have built.
I have been following your work for years. It speaks to my heart. I do hope to make it to a kiln opening in the coming year. I'm still on your mailing list! :-)
"... I haven't peaked yet nor have they [the apprentices]..." I find this comment inspirational as he is scaling down his workload, while at 69 years, I'm just starting out in my journey with clay :)
Thanks for the update. I was reading the other day about succession in the Raku family. The master, who was in his 70's, has retired and his son, in his 50's, has taken over the head of the family pottery business. Apparently this has been a pattern for a few hundred years. The retired master continues to work, without the burden of being the star. Maybe it's an amateur status. Making pots for the love of the craft.

Great talent making art that will last for centuries
and be enjoyed by generations to come.
The best of the hand-made!! Should be better known.
Pottery is tactile poetry, thank you for this. What an exceptional exhibition.
Congratulations are sent to you by an old master potter from Germany.
We are all crazy, worldwide! A pleasure to see your work.

Great to have TH-cam to help promote the craft.
I've learned so much from many masters now.

Deciple of Michael Cardew....😊
This video has given me a new-found admiration of the artist that you are . . . especially with your apprentices. 🪴
