it took 20 months to build the entire coquihalla but it but 12 months to fix a small stretch of road and a bridge and there patting themselves on the back was the work hourly or bidded out ?
Next to no safety standards back then. One worker was even blown off a bridge and fell to his death as there were no guard rails or tie offs. You worked your ass off and did very unsafe shit to get it done. Over 20 separate contractors built the highway in sections all at the same time for expo 86' which is why it was built so fast.
All those who were involved, we all want to say thank you. Amazing job at getting the Hwy restored as fast as it did.
Maybe should add a big shout out to the TransMountain pipeline crews and the huge help they provided in getting the Coquilhalla open again.
Thanks for this summary of the amazing recovery of this essential Coquihalla corridor, great job everyone!
Thank you to Everyone that got the Coqihalla Highway back open. What an amazing team you have. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yes quite the undertaking to get things rolling so quickly, thank you all 👍
Amazing job 👍👍
