    Hi everyone, today I took on a Google Explain question. I hope this helps!

    • @tomstepp1981
      @tomstepp1981 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Is this a question that might be asked during a team matching interview, between a software engineer and Google Cloud team? Or is this a slightly different context?

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@tomstepp1981, it is highly unlikely that this question would be asked at the Team Match stage, but remember, in that stage anything is possible. This is more likely to be asked to anyone interviewing for a role in GCP.

    Great video, Asking for Clarification is emphasized a lot in Google interview questions. But do we need to ask for clarification in RRK round questions also, because technical questions seems to be pretty straight forward.
    For example if interviewer ask what would be your strategy for implementing security in Google cloud storage account, this questions seems to be self explanatory. Can I just start answering questions or should I put some questions to him.

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Pawan, always ask questions, think about all the missing information. You are always looking to ask questions about historical data - have they ever done this before, what is their current set up, have you ever worked with them before; scope - what is the size of the implementation, small, medium, or large; timeline - how soon are they looking to have this completed, in the next month, quarter, 6 months; stakeholders, industry, etc. are other question areas, good luck!

    Great video Jeff. I was actually looking for some content like this.
    I have one more question when an interviewer asks for any improvement to gcp or it’s services you can suggest ? Does the interviewer asking for a flaw in gcp? How should one answer this type of question ?

    • @jeffhsipepi
      @jeffhsipepi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Arvind, this is a question that Google asks, especially to a Product Manager. It would sound something like, How would you improve GCP or What are the three improvements you would make to Google Cloud, something like these questions. And the approach is to identify first, if they would like you to focus on one specific area or all of GCP. But then in solving, you would want to determine what angle you will take, actually improving the technology, partnerships, training and education, etc. I hope this helps!

      @@jeffhsipepi thanks Jeff for the response.
      I am currently looking for data engineer perspective. I just want to be ready with all type of scenarios before interview. I believe improvement would be something towards technology. I have some inputs for some of the gcp services but I am not quite sure that will more of a enhancement that the interviewer is looking for. Like in pubsub system when subscriber is down and dead letter topic is enabled messages still does not go to dead letter topic it’s just stays till the retention period and lost forever. I am not sure that I should consider it as one of the answer.
      Any suggestions .

So I have a lot of projects on my portfolio site that are personal projects (no client, those are imagined clients like when I do school projects), should I label them "personal projects"? it this the best way? Just a D&I piece.. what if the candidate's Grandmother knows everything about GCP? What if they don't have a grandmother. Why not grandfather? What if their grandmother passed away? What if it was something horrific as a horrible carcrash that brings back PTSD for the candidate?
