  • Street Running Train With DPU Cuts Right Through Town & Train Crosses Oldest Railroad Overpass Ever That Is Narrow, Short & Made Of Rock! 1st Train Is A CSX intermodal. Have you ever seen an overpass like this? I walked through it and show both sides. Next we see a street running train in LaGrange, Kentucky that passed before Light Up LaGrange. This was a huge manifest with a mid train DPU. I also filmed the parade and the street running train that followed the parade. See that video! It is a must see for sure.
The street running train in this video had some really odd looking railroad maintenance of way equipment on the rear. What the heck is that stuff?! Leave a comment below.
Filmed in 1080p with 60fps on Saturday, December 3, 2022AD
Thanks for watching! If you have time, please watch another video of mine to help keep my channel going. Every view helps support my channel. Viewing time helps pay for gas, motels, rental cars etc. I have a list of places that I plan on filming so watch another video of mine if you have the time.

Can you imagine back in the day when steam locomotives would share the street with LaSalle's and Model T's? That would be interesting to see how the smoke and escaping steam affected things. Thank you again for making the effort to keep your videos different and entertaining! 👍😊👌

I know little about railroading. Know more now watching you. Lived near the D.G.& U(Dayton Greenville & Union City) tracks when I was a kid. Also, the Cincinnati Northern was a passenger speedster adjacent to my Grandmother's farm near Greenville/Fort Jefferson Road. We had a street train cross a trestle and run thru town on the DG & U tracks. Wonderful memories.
      Really enjoy your video JT.

Probably more than one hundred years old. Where I grew up in Buena Vista, Virginia there was a old underpass just like that one that is still there today and use by hundreds of people that live up Long hollow road and it use to flood during storms because a creek flows thru the side of it then year's later they city upgrade the way the creek flow thru it. My grandparents lived on the road. When I see bridges like them it brings back old child hood memories and yes they are cool and very stable to this day.

Love when you visit the street runner sites, Mr. Tooth. They are massively huge and I will never comprehend why so many of these towns exist with them even though I've heard the reasons hundreds of times. Very entertaining though. VRF occasionally shows some poor soul at night driving between the fork in the road and needs a tow out.

Love seeing old structures of the past still holding up and still in use, this stone arch under bridge is a testament to those who built it ,very nice. Street running trains are so fascinating to me cause they look so out of place there, yet the people adjust to them. Your right JT that baby was hauling butt through La grange, wow. Thanks for sharing bud.👍🏼 another well done video.

That narrow yet very strongly built little tunnel became more common for the period as early as the 1860s on. These can still be found standing, but only the best constructed examples still exist and can also be used! You can see these underpasses starting around the American Civil War, and the brick work appears to have some stone helping too, a good tell of its very sturdy construction and history. That underpass is indeed quite old, and a great survivor! I love seeing these stand so long!

Neat bridge and great video. A friend of mine has land and an old Chicago Pacific , Rock Island line runs through his property. There is an old stone - arched overbridge just like that. It is a culvert that a creek runs through. The rails are gone on the old roadbed. I went with him one day on it and we found old ties, spikes ,plates and he found old rail splices. The line was put in around 1860 and he found out that overbridge was built by men who came over from England. The line was abandoned around 1960. Took the rails up in the 1990's. North of Topeka about 20 miles. I wonder how many old overbridges are around like that. His drive way about an eight of a mile long is on that old roadbed. Have a great day.

You got better eyes than me. How could you tell that was a male box at that distance? Saw La Grange Santa Fire Truck and earlier Santa CSX Train videos. Good stuff, Señor Jaws. What ever happened to all those Santas just using their sleigh? Out of fashinon now in the States? Yeah, come to think of it, I did see an overpass like that before. There was no train going over it though. Some palace guards patrolling on top... a drawbridge, a moat and castle on the other side. Those Trebuchet big rock launchers took out the train, all of the guards, and really damaged the inner gate. Must have been 1402 or 1403. I don't remember the exact year. Gracias por tu video. Wow that Old Bridge probably easily goes back 13 0 years or so. The old C&NW Cowboy Line in South Dakota had numerous Bridges like this except much smaller for creeks and small rivers as well as a few cattle under passes. For the people on the other side Moving Day must be a real experience. Having the train come has got to be like Santa's sleigh and he sure brought plenty of interesting Freight cars. One can only Wonder how much tinsel could be shaved off those ingots. CP Holiday Train has some stops south of town tonight and they have to weave some local Amtraks through there and then it resumes west of Milwaukee tomorrow afternoon hopefully the weather is favorable first time in 3 years its been here

89 cars on that first train. Awesome stone overpass there. We have them up in our far northern counties, but not that narrow. 124 on that second train. Cool stuff on the end. There's a small town, 5 minutes from here, called Egg Harbor City. It's 17 blocks wide. It was originally planned to have 50 cross streets, between the railroad and the river, a distance of about 6 1/2 miles. Three of the north-south streets are extra wide, and another one has a median down the middle. One of the wide ones was to have a freight railroad down the middle, and two of them were to have passenger railroads down the middle. I'm not sure of the purpose of the street with the median. It could have been for a trolley, maybe. In the end only 8 of the 50 cross streets were ever built, except for a few short sections in the north part of the city. None of the street railroads was ever built.
What ever happened to the Muscovy duck? Your duck is all alone again.

Hello Jawtooth. I really enjoy your videos. I cant get out to rail fan lately. You show some really cool trains in areas I wish I could visit. Cool old bridge, love to visit LaGrange to see the street running trains.look forward to more cool videos.
