Thanks mate! I started watching Boruto and got so tired of fillers. I found myself flicking quickly through each ep just to see if there is anything interesting but eventually just let it go. LOL Thank you! I don't know why lists like this aren't more common. So many people try to force themselves to watch 100s of episodes of filler without even realizing it.

Only recently picked up boruto and this video helped a ton! big naruto fan but i'd heard so much drama about boruto for years it kept me away. I'm pleasantly surprised by how good it is, thanks for helping me jump onboard.
Now that I'm actually just following off with the important shit.. season 1 is also about to finish, it has been a BLAST so far! the kara actuation arc didn't let me down, and so did not the kawaki arc, and heavy arcs like chunin exams or mitsuki's backstory, I'd even say in this point it's definitely on par with naruto! even better, if you're following this list until the code arc that's just starting out, everything is put on so well with the list you put. I even liked it enough to decide to watch some filler arcs. And I'll go off to the manga too now, so thank you!
All I've seen is "you shouldn't skip anime cannon episodes" but the whole time watching it all I could think was this is definitely filler. Thank you for the list 🙏
@@Leafcaneno it's not. Anime canon is not canon to manga universe but CANON TO ANIME UNIVERSE. Not every anime has to 100% faithfully adapt the manga with some change cuz manga are always incomplete compared to anime. Anime is different from manga, always has been. If you want to read manga then just stick to the manga because boruto anime will be different.

You missed something on the field trip filler arc. Sarada was not the only one who got a new trick. Boruto learned to use a gale palm and used it for his arsenal. And yeah, that's it.

I like how in sarada uchiha arc they didn't want people acting childish by saying sarada is karin's daughter even tho that part of the arc is bad plus shin is bad, he doesn't have a backstory, he lost every fight he had even after kidnapping sakura she still beat him, he has seventeen mangekyo sharingan yet he still can't do susanoo and he still hope to beat sasuke

also one thing the first arcs of boruto are adapted from a 4 volume novel series written by kodachi himself so from the academy arc and the school field trip arc, up until the graduation arc is adapted from a novel jus like naruto's wedding arc or sasuke shinden
Ngl, the filler in this show isn't as bad as Naruto. At least all of it is canon, and adds to the overall story. My favorite is probably the castle/prison arc.
Most of boruto fillers like shin arc sasuke retsuden kakashi merai arc they are also manga adoptation but they are seperate mangas so they are enjoyable everything else j think you can skip
Yeah it should be fine if you skip straight to the Code arc after the Kawaki arc. There may potentially be a prologue arc beforehand which would be important to watch but as of right now there's nothing after the Kawaki arc that's very relevant to the manga story.
This is one of the best videos for someone's who's troubled about watching Boruto but don't want to waste their time. So here's my take: Part 1: For anyone who's watching it right now, there will be some fillers after this arc, some of them are not that worth watching and the animation quality also decreases, from the back of my mind, the only 2 note able arcs are the Himawari and Kawaki in academy thingie and Sasuke Retsuden adaptation. There are some standalone non-serious episodes too. And after that comes the much awaited Code arc. And my theory is that the anime might go hiatus for a a bit after Code arc is completed. Part 2: My suggestion is, since the anime and the manga are wayy different.. You can skip novel arcs (if you only want to watch the main story at one time), 2-3 episode filler story (not related to main storyline) and some arcs that are not thaaat important to the main series.. In the end it could really depend (as you could enjoy some filler that's not important to the story line but you find it enjoyable) on you but obviously you'll require to search up about the arcs...
Yup I agree. It's always a good idea to check out the beginning of filler arcs before skipping them because there are some hidden gems in the series. But spending the time to watch all of them is a LOT.

I would watch Boruto for manga canon only. Then, go back and comb through the series for “anime canon” that might appeal to me, like Mitsuki stuff for example.

So if you really only care about Naruto and Sasuke, then these are the arcs they are present in: - Academy Entrance [ep. 1-15] - Naruto is seen a lot with Boruto and his family. - Sarada arc [ep. 19-24] - Both Naruto and Sasuke are very important to this arc. They get a couple cool fights. - Chunin exams [51-66] - Again Naruto and Sasuke are very important to this arc and they have some of the best fights I've ever seen. - Parent and Child Day [93/95] - Naruto spends a day with his kid in episode 93 and Sasuke spends a day with his kid in episode 95. - Time Slip [127-136] - Sasuke is a main character in this arc but he gets done kind of dirty ngl. It's still worth watching for nostalgia (they go back in time). - Kara Actuation [157-176] - Naruto and Sasuke appear in it a decent amount. They also train their kids too. - Vessel arc [178-187] - Naruto is seen in the first few episodes and gets a cool little fight. - Kawaki arc [188-220] - Both Naruto and Sasuke are basically main characters. This arc is almost like Shippuden again and undoubtedly the best arc in the show. They are in almost every episode and get tons of cool fights. I hope that helps!
Not really! 256-260 are just goofy slice of life episodes and 261-current is an arc where Kawaki and Himawari go to the academy. It's all just funny comedy episodes with very little action. If you're all caught up with the anime then I'd recommend you start reading the manga!

I wish I didn't hate the character designs so much. It's not just that they look like their parents, it's basically how they replace their parents like clones. Everyone gets a gets a knockoff, yay! And sure, they all have some differences, but they're so trivial it fails to resonate with me 😢

one thing im so confused is about the boruto movies like when do i watch the movies after finishing naruto shippunden like where do i start, do i maybe start by watching the 10 minutte movie or just go to se the episodes?
Dammit im pissed off that I confused anime canon as canon episodes. Watched the whole stupid episodes on the curse mark on birds thinking it was canon. The filler website misled me so bad. Its a shame. Its the only anime they tricked people with to force us to watch fillers. Its literally the only anime with "anime canon" episodes.
Not every anime has to be faithful to the manga. Anime canons are canon strictly to the anime universe if you only care about manga canon might as well just abandon the anime and only read manga then. Why did you watch anime to only care about manga story?

@@Leafcane yeah i just finished the great sea battle and I'm feeling worn out (plus I'm really more of a dub guy than a sub guy so even though there aren't that many episodes to go I'm actually considering going on a Boruto hiatus and letting the dub to catch up), i know it's greedy but i was hoping you'd have made a sequel by the time that rolls around so it's just easier to watch. Your video was priceless to me when I started the series a few months ago.

You missed something on the field trip filler arc. Sarada was not the only one who got a new trick. Boruto learned to use a gale palm and used it for his arsenal. And yeah, that's it.

I like how in sarada uchiha arc they didn't want people acting childish by saying sarada is karin's daughter even tho that part of the arc is bad plus shin is bad, he doesn't have a backstory, he lost every fight he had even after kidnapping sakura she still beat him, he has seventeen mangekyo sharingan yet he still can't do susanoo and he still hope to beat sasuke

4. Graduation Exams Arc - Anime Canon / Fun to watch, HIGHLY recommend WATCHING.
5. Genin Mission Arc - One canon episode (episode 39, adapted from Mitsuki origin story one-shot) / the rest you skip
6. Byakuya Gang Arc - skip all
7. Chūnin Exams Arc - CANON
8. Chōchō Arc - Skip this god awful filler.
9. Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc - Skippable but does kill off a semi-big Shippuden character / has good Mitsuki background story
10. Parent and Child Day Arc - CANON / Adapted from Naruto Shinden one-shot
11. Jūgo Arc - Skippable but has a bit of lore about Curse Marks and the new-gen sees the hebi/taka group (minus sasuke).
12. Steam Ninja Scrolls Arc - Adapted from Konoha Shinden novel. I skipped but if you want to see walmart-Hidan and Mirai (asuma's daughter) go ahead.
13. Konohamaru's Love Arc - SKIP

also one thing the first arcs of boruto are adapted from a 4 volume novel series written by kodachi himself so from the academy arc and the school field trip arc, up until the graduation arc is adapted from a novel jus like naruto's wedding arc or sasuke shinden

Yeah it should be fine if you skip straight to the Code arc after the Kawaki arc. There may potentially be a prologue arc beforehand which would be important to watch but as of right now there's nothing after the Kawaki arc that's very relevant to the manga story.

This is one of the best videos for someone's who's troubled about watching Boruto but don't want to waste their time. So here's my take:
Part 1:
For anyone who's watching it right now, there will be some fillers after this arc, some of them are not that worth watching and the animation quality also decreases, from the back of my mind, the only 2 note able arcs are the Himawari and Kawaki in academy thingie and Sasuke Retsuden adaptation. There are some standalone non-serious episodes too. And after that comes the much awaited Code arc. And my theory is that the anime might go hiatus for a a bit after Code arc is completed.
Part 2:
My suggestion is, since the anime and the manga are wayy different.. You can skip novel arcs (if you only want to watch the main story at one time), 2-3 episode filler story (not related to main storyline) and some arcs that are not thaaat important to the main series.. In the end it could really depend (as you could enjoy some filler that's not important to the story line but you find it enjoyable) on you but obviously you'll require to search up about the arcs...
Yup I agree. It's always a good idea to check out the beginning of filler arcs before skipping them because there are some hidden gems in the series. But spending the time to watch all of them is a LOT.

I would watch Boruto for manga canon only. Then, go back and comb through the series for “anime canon” that might appeal to me, like Mitsuki stuff for example.

Hello! So if you really only care about Naruto and Sasuke, then these are the arcs they are present in:
- Academy Entrance [ep. 1-15] - Naruto is seen a lot with Boruto and his family.
- Sarada arc [ep. 19-24] - Both Naruto and Sasuke are very important to this arc. They get a couple cool fights.
- Chunin exams [51-66] - Again Naruto and Sasuke are very important to this arc and they have some of the best fights I've ever seen.
- Parent and Child Day [93/95] - Naruto spends a day with his kid in episode 93 and Sasuke spends a day with his kid in episode 95.
- Time Slip [127-136] - Sasuke is a main character in this arc but he gets done kind of dirty ngl. It's still worth watching for nostalgia (they go back in time).
- Kara Actuation [157-176] - Naruto and Sasuke appear in it a decent amount. They also train their kids too.
- Vessel arc [178-187] - Naruto is seen in the first few episodes and gets a cool little fight.
- Kawaki arc [188-220] - Both Naruto and Sasuke are basically main characters. This arc is almost like Shippuden again and undoubtedly the best arc in the show. They are in almost every episode and get tons of cool fights.

Not really! 256-260 are just goofy slice of life episodes and 261-current is an arc where Kawaki and Himawari go to the academy. It's all just funny comedy episodes with very little action. If you're all caught up with the anime then I'd recommend you start reading the manga!

Dammit im pissed off that I confused anime canon as canon episodes. Watched the whole stupid episodes on the curse mark on birds thinking it was canon. The filler website misled me so bad. Its a shame. Its the only anime they tricked people with to force us to watch fillers. Its literally the only anime with "anime canon" episodes.
Not every anime has to be faithful to the manga. Anime canons are canon strictly to the anime universe if you only care about manga canon might as well just abandon the anime and only read manga then. Why did you watch anime to only care about manga story?

@@Leafcane yeah i just finished the great sea battle and I'm feeling worn out (plus I'm really more of a dub guy than a sub guy so even though there aren't that many episodes to go I'm actually considering going on a Boruto hiatus and letting the dub to catch up), i know it's greedy but i was hoping you'd have made a sequel by the time that rolls around so it's just easier to watch. Your video was priceless to me when I started the series a few months ago.
