Beautiful guitar! That body reminds me of old cedar chests we had when I was a kid. Normally, I’m more of a clean tone guy, but this thing is a high gain beast. When clean, I was surprised at the brightness of just about every pickup selection. That neck humbucker has to be the brightest neck humbucker I’ve ever heard. I liked what the mid boost did for the clean tone. This guitar definitely has its own (beautiful) sound. Congrats!

Wow Jon I can think of very few other guitarists (ones I kind of know, rather than admire from afar) who deserve such a thing, and might I suggest you are so blessed because you are worthy of it 😄 I have to also say that it is a very beautiful looking and sounding instrument, that neck pickup is brighter thank I expected, with more "punch" so I think you succeeded there for sure, but the fact that it handles clean tones and high-gain definitely appeals to me. Very nice instrument, but if I'm being fair thats too much money for a Malaysian made instrument that is relatively unknown. $2300 is Kiesel territory, and they make a very fine, semi-custom instrument in the USA. This should probably come in at around $1500 or so to get the name out there. Prices could then be raised as demand allows.
I understand where you are going.. but you’re not entirely fair. Kiesel is an established company with a sizable workforce. 2.3 k for a full customized job is a good price range. In any case.. you are entitled to your own opinion. Just know that there are other places that makes really great guitars.
I don't know Jonathan, it sure is a lovely guitar. But, the way you played on that japanese white strat beats it out of the water in my opinion. I mean, the articulation of each note and expression of the sound. The guitar sounds lovely, but lacks personality.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Its just a personal opinion, i didn't mean to sound negative :) What I meant is, but again thats just my personal opinion, we've had 1000s of new guitars improving on, but basically are still the same as the humble strat in design. But to my ears, nothing beats the original in how it sounds. Hope that makes sense. I am also not a fan of humbucker pickups for that reason, they never have the clarity and dynamics of a single coil pickup. A single coil pickup can be made to sound like a humbucker, but not the other way around. I've had them all, including boutique guitars that play like butter, but i always go back to the versatility of the original. Have a good end of the year! and yes, i love your channel.
