If you can get dehumidifier it will help with the mildew in the house. My house has issues at times after lots of rain. Colton's words are coming along amazingly! Lots prayers
You and hubby have THEE most adorable kids!!!💖💖💖💖 The moisture/humidity really filled your home. You probably need to keep your home AC lower for a couple of days to dry your home out. So if your normal setting is 74 degrees, pop it down to 70 for a good 48 hours. Mildew will be gone from inside the home.Wirhout electricity, EVERYTHING in your home began absorbing moisture. Books, any paper, books, all clothes, bedding, furniture.
It's expensive but dehumidifiers are what you need until you figure out what's happening under your house!! You guys are such a blessing to watch with the world the way it is!!! Thank you!!!,🙏🙏🙏🙏
The fruit is ripping to fast because of the moisture in the air. If you have a dehumidifier run that all day. You might need to run a fan under your house. I pray 🙏 every night for you and your family and your eastern Kentucky family!! Yes Colton is talking so much!!!! I just ❤️ your little family!!! You both are so kind and giving !!
Get a dehumidifier. That’s what will take out the extra moisture in the house. Maybe even two one for one side and one for the other. If you have a basement or downstairs then definitely one for there on its own.
I bought two watermelons Wednesday evening. The first one I cut into was on the verge of being rotten I went to cut into one this evening and I went to pick it up and the entire bottom of it just tore open and it was rotten all the way through! Made a HUGE MESS. Totally understand your frustration with the rotten fruit.
I haven't been able to get a good watermelon all summer! It doesn't matter what store or produce stand I've gotten them from either, they've all been bad. Plus my parents and everyone else I know of hasn't grown any good ones in their gardens either. Im convinced that there's definitely something weird going on this year with watermelons! Produce in general hasn't been good this year here in North Carolina. I have a small orchard on my farm and the only thing that grew this year that we could harvest was our blueberries. We had absolutely no peaches, pears, figs, grapes, strawberries or blackberries and that's a first for us in the 5 years we've lived here on our farm. It's just crazy!
I've had the same thing bad fruit bad eggs and I think when all these ships were sitting out and couldn't get in to unload I think they just put the fruit out anyway I think a lot of it was bad and the eggs sat out the company told me that they've had a lot of bad eggs to where they got left out so that's my guess 🤔
@@juliealvarez3302 oh no!!!!! I just broke down and naught an expensive watermelon!!! Haven't sliced into it yet tho.... 🤔 Hoping for the best.... 👃✌️🥰🇨🇦
@@juliealvarez3302 a lot of people don't know this but a lot of farmers will sell you eggs. You can get them a lot cheaper from a local farmer near you than you can in any store. Plus the best thing about it is you already know they're fresh and organic and I promise you they're going to be bigger than the ones in the store and taste much better too! Plus the fact that you can save a couple dollars that way is great in itself because they're much cheaper than the stores and farmer's markets too. Also, just to clarify I'm talking about an individual farmer who is at home and not at a produce stand or farmers market. Yes you can get the same great eggs from them too but they're more expensive. I know this because a lot of local farmers around me sell their eggs and for a couple years my family and I used to sell ours too. Sometimes if you get lucky and find the right farmer you can get fresh milk from them too along with your eggs!
Megan, those babies are so adoreable!!! So happy Colton is starting to say more words!!! Cissy just gets cuter everyday!!! You have your hands full, but can tell you love being their Momma!!!
I made those potatoes yesterday for dinner. They were fabulous!!!! Leftovers today!!! Yum. Thanks for the recipe. I baked them for 35 minutes instead if 25 minutes.
Aww, so glad you guys started up again to get things back in order. Thank goodness your whole house wasn't under the flood waters. It's so beautiful there and I pray the rains won't damage more. Love seeing the babies laughing and playing, they are so dang cute! Megan, that meal looks so delish, love how you do the taters. Sean, it was something, to see your friend picking the folks up stuck in their houses. You guys and other rescuers are the real heroes. God bless the people of Kentucky, to help them recover. 😍🙋😎😻😇😇💐🙏🙏
Loved Colton's face as he said cheese. The kids are super cute. I say it's the fruit mine does same lately. Never had issues before, I bought strawberries and they was fresh when I left store. I got home not even ten min later, and went to get one. Opened it up and all looked like that lemon and juicy too. Bananas too.
Megan, I live in GA. and the past couple of years when we had hurricanes come through, everything in my house that was wooden had mildew on it. I had to fix up some bleach and water in a bucket and go around the whole house wiping down doors, cabinets, and any kind of wooden furniture. It was causing me to have lung problems. I also have those darn ole migraines. I finally figured out how to fix them with Excedrin migraine medicine. Every time the barometric pressure changes I get a head ache. I have to eat before I take the Excedrin too. I hope ya'll are able to get it out of your basement too. Love getting to see the kids play and have a good time. They're always so precious. Your dinner looked delicious!! Love ya'll bunches and I'll keep praying for ya'll. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏
We have the same problem with fruit and it's really bad here with bread, it molds very fast. I don't know what causes it. Those potatoes and pork chops looked SO good, I'm def going to try those potatoes! Loved the end of the video with Colton and Chloe blowing kisses, too sweet! God bless y'all
Just a tip for your fruit: when you bring it home put a napkin or paper towel in the bottom of the container. It will help with the moisture & make it last longer. However if you only had it in the fridge a day or two I wld take it back to the store or take pictures to the store & get new or your money back. Our grocery store is very good about things like that. Also I want to say how sorry I am of the damage you & everyone had around there! Prayers sent!🙏 Love kids Goodbyes & Kisses at the end. So sweet!🤗💞
Wow 😳 interesting 🤔 y'all are definitely in my prayers cause I'm from Chicago IL and y'all in the holler go through a lot of things stay positive as we are going to 2023 in 13 more days this year was basically crazy 😧 upside down and still going through something God Bless everybody
I loved this video.. so much fun, your are such a great Mom❤ That’s amazing someone rescued people on a jet ski. I’m so sorry this flood happened in your area! And I can’t imagine how frightening anything that happens in the car like the pot hole etc after your accident experience. I love how Colton said love you and blew a kiss at the end!
I take my fruit and freeze it in ice cube trays. Especially lemons and lime juice. I just throw a cube in when cooking and I don’t have to worry about mold or bad lemons/limes. ❤️
Them babies are so lucky to have you both as parents. Keep up with them. It goes by so fast. Love you all. From a very small town in east Tennessee. Look it up when you are her has i min. Hampton Tennessee. Keep up with everything you both do. Cause god sees everything.
When I buy my strawberries, grapes and such, after I get home I put in the kitchen sink with water and a bit of white vinegar let them sit for about 1/2 hour to 1hr. Take them out let them drip dry. I put in an open container with a couple sheets of paper towel to absorb some of that moisture off the fruit. Keeps in the refrigerator over a week.
Our home is very moist this summer, we are in Wyoming so it is never really humid. We had a pretty substantial winter with the snow fall, and the weather this summer has been very humid. Our garden (raised beds over gravel) has been taken over by mold, buying produce at the store it is moldy in under 3 days when usually it'll keep just fine. Even food in our refrigerator is turning faster than it should because of the moisture! I would say it is probably the moisture in and outside of the home. We've had so much rain that it is chipped our foundation and flooded our basement 😳 🙃 my husband fixed it best he could for now. Check the foundation, check the windows and their seals. Good luck!
Colton is talking so well. Sissy understands much of what you say as well. Good to see how much they’ve grown up. Fruits and veggies seems to go bad within a few days of getting them. Also we survived Hurricane Andrew in South Florida and a flood back in 2012 in North Florida . Please watch out for mold and mildew from all the water damage. It can cause y’all to get sick too. If there’s a way to check under the house have someone check it . I am gonna make those potatoes . It looks delicious .
I lived in Fort Campbell Kentucky for a few years, technically on the Tennessee side of the border, but I noticed everything went moldy so fast! The clothes would go mildewy within the day in the washing machine if I didn't change it right away to the dryer! Totally not used to how extreme the humidity can get over there!
Yes, I can totally relate! Personally, I raised two babies under two, years ago! I shop at my local Walmart and nearly every darn time I buy any "fresh" produce it seems like it ends up rotten within 48hrs lately.
You all are doing just fine. Bless you for helping others in need. God blesses those that help themselves and others and does not depend on false external nonsense. Those taters look delicious...
I’ve had the same problem w my fruit. It’s been going bad around 2 days after I buy it. It’s so expensive, you hate to have to throw it out. Glad you all are safe. Sending hugs and prayers to you. 😄❤️🙏
We live with a lot of humidity and use a dehumidifier. Sometimes I empty it twice a day. I’d wash the fruit and beg in cold water and drops of lemon essential oil. They will last much longer.

Hey Megan I wonder here up north for the moisture in are we have a container with moisture beads! by the time bead get dry the the moisture is out of your home ! You can get them at Walmart they come different smells like Citrus, lavender .different ones , I found mine in the hardware or cleaning products, or inthe tool / car department! If you can't find them ,I will get some and send them anything for keep those Colton &Chloe & Family okay 👌 God Bless ❤️🤗 P.S Prayers for Kentucky

Maybe try and put a squirrel cage fan at an opening underneath your house and let it blow and help dry out underneath there. Praying for y’all!!

For your moist air problem you can get some moisture absorbers at your local hardware store. It comes in a bucket or pail. All you do is place it in the house in places that you feel are damp. Pull the lid off and set and that is it. However you must place them where the kids can’t get to them.
They are such happy energetic babies, love your videos so much, thank you Megan for sharing your lives with us ❤ Using a dehumidifier will help with moisture and I always wash fruits and veggies in vinegar then rinse, dry then wrap a paper towel around them in a big zip-loc bag it will draw the moisture from them. Get a few of the damp rid bags and little boxes they help absorb moisture in the house that might help. My dad has them in his house and you would be surprised at how much mositure your house has inside. It's probably the fruit too.
They are growing, hungry, confident, and funny as heck! 🤩💖💖
