Hey guys, thanks so much watching the video! I hope you learned something helpful, and good luck on your ranked push :) I've been getting a lot of comments that are like "but what if your teammate REALLY sucks, do you still blame yourself then?!!?!?!" And then answer is yes, you should, although even I struggle with this lol... but if you want a good example of what this might look like, check out the video I posted right after this one, "How to Grow a Healthy Ranked Mindset", and skip to Replays #2 and #3. The point is, focusing on any aspect of your loss besides yourself, whether that's a teammate or a game mechanic, is distracting from finding ways to improve the only thing you have control over, which is yourself. Getting angry is just wasted effort, trust me. Love y'all, and hope you have a great day ❤️

Usually, when I lose and I sold super hard, I'll just cry about it and own up to my mistakes, but when my teammates go afk for half the match, I will not hesitate to thumbs them up :)
This is highkey the best brawl stars related video of all time and im not even glazing. This aint just about Brawl Stars, this was a serious reflection that every single player should have when playing. Well done bedlam, you just got another subscriber.
As a masters player in power league (less than 500 people hit masters globally per season in power league), this video is highly accurate and actually covers important necessary tips. Drafting, mental, and brawler pool are 20x more important than in game skill and game sense matter 10x more than mechanics. Ranked isn't competitive though so any player that follows this guide should hit masters in ranked.
I wish you could give me some tips to improve in the game, maybe playing some matches with me or something. Even though I was able to hit masters (in ranked), it took me 3 seasons to do it, and I feel like I'll be stuck in legendary this season tbh. Ive always wanted to find someone thats actually good at the game to help me on improving my gameplay.
I don't folow mental sometimes, but still only got to low Mythic. You really don't get masters unless you got at least some dodging skills and know how to aim manually instead of auto-aiming. people keep saying Masters is free, but A rank 30 brawler is easier IMO than getting Mythic 3.
@@kostard.verchiom1173 Yeah, I do know that. I am at 23,9k right now. However I don't imagine the difficulty becomes to insanely harder? Maybe rank 30 skill turns into rank 28 in higher trophies I imagine. Could be wrong though.
@@fireshadowdark5462 I hit masters, and while i dont have a r30 (ive never pushed to r30), i have lots of friends that have a lot of r30s, and ive already helped some people to get to it, and, based on it, id say that the r30 gameplay is usually equivalent to the legendary 2 gameplay.
Thanks for the tips man, i can say I am quite experienced in this game but I keep finding myself doing the mistakes outlined in the video, I really got a lot of help from this video thanks
At the mental part, i agree that this is one of the most important mindset shifts you can have in life. I stopped blaming my family, my fast metabolism, my teammates focusing instead on the things i can control and in return i started to heal my traumas, stopped being underweight and as a 300 game silver hardstuck went up into platinum in 50 games back in season 9. Though i often have to remind myself because i forget about it, i was hardstuck mythic for a long time because of blaming teammates and not reflecting on my own gameplay, one day i shifted my mindset and hit legendary in one day.
Thank you for the advice in the mentality. That's one of the things I'm still working on but I have improved a lot. Thinking like your teammates are bots actually helps a lot and I can focus on my skill because whe all know that when playing with bots you need to focus on yourself not your teammates
Watching the replays is so helpful. Especially when you teammates blame you for the whole match and when you watch the replay tou realize that they were terrible. Sometimes I notice that I actually didn't play that good.
ive been looking for a video like this for so long 😭 theres legit no guides for how to improve for some reason and only "pro tips videos". thank you bro hopefully i can get legendary this season with your help
As a chronic gamer I'd have to say that in any game you play, your mental is the most important thing you can have. My 2 cents would be that stay positive. As long as you are the star player, working on objective, and playing your best you will climb. As the Vel'koz king said if you always perform, no matter how much you lose, you will always climb. Your mental will get you to masters.
such an excellent breakdown of important game concepts, lots of which I felt like I’ve considered or vaguely understood before but not with specifics. you’re easily getting my Sub and like for this quality content.
One of the greatest brawlstars videos i've seen and i will see. Advices to aply even in your real life with way more meaning than others. Those which we really need in this society ,talking about mental, and this game with these kids and many of the in this community. Thanks!
Came here to say that this video is something everyone should watch coming into rank, or even getting into brawl stars in general. Even after playing for a while, I still make these mistakes and need a reminder for these things, so thank you for making this video! I mainly need to focus on changing up my mental, as I blame too much on my teammates, so I’ll give this a better try. Thank you for the tip once again.
As someone who is a semipro and streams, I constantly get asked that 0:12. I would usually just say that you should play the game. And while lane switching and pinching are important to learn, the only way to learn the game’s interactions are playing. Cool video though.
@@xemp33 13:08 yeah that’s a tip from the video But I agree, picking a small handful of brawlers to learn all their interactions against other brawlers is the best way to improve and rank up It’s better to know every interaction for just a few brawlers than to have a baseline knowledge of how to play every brawler, but not all the little things that go on in an actual game
Back when Rocket league was huge during corona, I saw a video similar to this giving the essential advice to watch your replays and take accountability for the game play. This was unbelievably over powered. At the time I was struggling in Diamond with all my other friends, but after that I moment I took it a step further applying most of this advice, I played mostly on my own. Some time passed and I hit GC in duos and champ in solos, which is of course one of the most punishing game modes, I tried to teach them this but they didnt have the patience for watching replays or the capacity/desire to have "the blame yourself and take control mentality" - only two eventually made it two champ. Love the video!
My logic during draft: Oh shoot my opponents picked two alpha's I better pick an alpha too cause my teammate picked a beta that is useless against thos alphas .
I'm not that Brawl Stars competitive (or active), but I fully agree with everything you just said. Especially the Brawler (focus upgrade) part, which is very similar to how you should progress your account efficiently in Clash Royale. The tips you also gave should be its own in-depth guide considering how practical they are unlike the cookie cutter "Here are 10 things you shouldn't do" or tier lists per season. I also love the last tip in the end with that psychoanalysis. Personally, I've realized how applying Stoicism into the game and only emotionally investing on what you can control is definitely a huge improvement compared to what the general consensus does when having shitty teammates.
I find it ironic how you generalize Edgar being "a bad brawler" even tho it isnt true. Sure there are SOME pros who think Edgar is C tier, but this isnt reflected by the majority of other pros or top 100 Masters player. I'm a multiple top 100 masters player and have an very successful win rate with Edgar (around 87% win rate). The reason why I have such a high win rate with him is not "because the enemys are dumb or didnt pick a counter"it's because of HOW you play Edgar. Edgar is a very skill depended brawler, Belive it or not. Edgar requires to be played percicely with his jumps and movements, because of the amount of CC brawlers there exist rn. (You need to jump near to an obstacle to nullify the knockback effect against brawlers like Berry,Piper,Gene,Emz etc...) Dodging shoots against Long range brawlers eith the help of his very fast Movement speed. As well as using you're lets fly gadget with an already filled up hyper super (to jump 3 times in a row against high damage dealing brawlers like Clancy). There is a lot of brain power you have to use on playing Edgar. Pros like Symantac, Lenain also value Edgar in this aspect, because of his HC wich is still one of the best HC's. What was my point and waffling? You shouldve illeterate on how you should play Brawlers like Edgar correctly, instead of claiming Edgar to be a "bad brawler". Using the Edgar is a "bad brawler" argument will only fuel the ones who suck with Edgar with anger and pick him therfore anyways and the good players like us have to (1.suffer with bad randoms on masters) (2. Didnt learn anything from this advice)
I didn't say Edgar sucks everywhere though lol I'm pretty sure I said Edgar can be A or S tier depending on the context of the draft, but thanks for the comment anyways Mr Edgar pro 🤷
@@bedlamBSEdgar isn't my Main or anything Like that. I mainly am known as a very good Byron Player in Composures Stream. (But thats beside the Point) My only Point was, that it would've helped Out allot more If you would've explained how you Play the brawlers correctly (Not saying it should be Edgar nessecerly it could be brawlers Like Piper aswell). See the Problem is, the Bad randoms themselves, I've Seen plenty of Matches where my team should've Out drafted Our compasitions, but we failed because the Gene/Piper/Larry was awful at the Game. These are the Same people who Always cause you the Matches regardless If you have the draft. Thats why Ranked sucks so bad

This was great. I used to spam this game back in the first 4 years of its peak popularity back when there were only 4 legendaries. I recently downloaded brawl stars and im already diamond but I want to grow and this video gave me such a different perspective on not just ranked but the game in general.
Honestly thanks for this video man, I always peaked at legendary one and never get past it because I always thought that my teammates were the reason to my loses. This video was a good reality check to play better and to not rage at people
Thank you bro!! You're so underrated! My highest rank was Mythic 1 after so many randoms left the game after the first loss, but I'm pushing with my bro now and we're already at Diamond 1 in the new season, we're gonna get to Masters together!!
i very sincerely think this is the only ranked guide one might ever need. i realized all of the things you mentioned in this video on my own throughout my journey in brawl stars and i really wished that they were common knowledge in the minds of not just brawl stars players, but people in general (especially the mentality part). if more players in the game understood these concepts, games would feel way more satisfying regardless of the outcome, since i would rather lose after a heated match where everyone in both teams were playing really good than win after carriying my team through sweat and tears while they show off how fast they can spin around themselves and spamming thumbs down
Loved the video man Please continue this Even if you switch to some other form of content other than bs, i would still watch it Loved your personality at the end
thank you for this! i think I'm going to take that mentality from now on. a few days ago I finally left mythic and reached legendary 2, but now I had a very strong losing streak and I dropped to 7500 points, losing all the time, and I basically blamed the randoms for everything, and with this video i realized that i haven't been focusing on myself. I was watching what they were doing the whole time, getting angry when they did stupid things, when that's why i got distracted and played a terrible game. I really only got out of mythic 2 when I focused on MY gameplay, but when I got to legendary I thought the randoms would be much better, so I really screwed up when I realized there wasn't that much of a difference. the truth is I'm not very good, so I'm going to do a lot of watching replays to see what i did wrong, and maybe draft better.
35 years old, playing this with my son....wanted to say thank you, your video was well done and made me chuckle a few times Hopefully i'll improve so he won't be emberassed ^^

I have seen many BRAWLSTARS improvement videos, I am vetertan in bs (so to call my self) have played over 2.9 k hours 60 k trophies not maxed acc till now (f2p btw) whatever mentioned in the video is not very new to me i almost know most of the things but i realised i apparently don't apply them in every game this video is such well put and i think if u maintain such quality then ur channel will surely grow , peace:)
I’ve been playing this game for a few months, and honestly I learnt so much from this video.
For a jolly and colourful game it’s really complex. Cheers bro 👊🏼
I thought you where gonna have tens of thousands of subs but i saw only 400. your very underrated and I know you are gonna get popular.
New sub, underated asf
i think i already love this channel honestly, i mean it's pretty well explained and the end also deserves a sub :3
@@fireshadowdark5462ladder mm is based on total trophies as well. Maybe you are
@@kostard.verchiom1173 Yeah, I do know that. I am at 23,9k right now. However I don't imagine the difficulty becomes to insanely harder? Maybe rank 30 skill turns into rank 28 in higher trophies I imagine.
Could be wrong though.
@@fireshadowdark5462 I hit masters, and while i dont have a r30 (ive never pushed to r30), i have lots of friends that have a lot of r30s, and ive already helped some people to get to it, and, based on it, id say that the r30 gameplay is usually equivalent to the legendary 2 gameplay.
came for the game, stayed for the lession on life, genuinely very nice
One of my favorite quotes that I use a lot and that can be applied in pretty much every game is "I hate this game because I am bad at it🤬"
Thanks for the tips man, i can say I am quite experienced in this game but I keep finding myself doing the mistakes outlined in the video, I really got a lot of help from this video thanks
Though i often have to remind myself because i forget about it, i was hardstuck mythic for a long time because of blaming teammates and not reflecting on my own gameplay, one day i shifted my mindset and hit legendary in one day.
platinum?
Proud of you!😊
@@ginnogianni1980 power league
Thank you for the advice in the mentality. That's one of the things I'm still working on but I have improved a lot. Thinking like your teammates are bots actually helps a lot and I can focus on my skill because whe all know that when playing with bots you need to focus on yourself not your teammates
Watching the replays is so helpful. Especially when you teammates blame you for the whole match and when you watch the replay tou realize that they were terrible. Sometimes I notice that I actually didn't play that good.
That last part is key! Once you start seeing it you can start to focus on things to improve on in every game, even the ones you win
ive been looking for a video like this for so long 😭 theres legit no guides for how to improve for some reason and only "pro tips videos". thank you bro hopefully i can get legendary this season with your help
Hope you learned something good, best of luck with your push! ❤️
The fact that I was talking about how Ranked was too hard earlier and I see this.
Hope you learned something, good luck pushing! :)
@@bedlamBS I sure did, I mostly Listened to the Mentality part the most 😌
Monkey Bunkey
One of the greatest brawlstars videos i've seen and i will see. Advices to aply even in your real life with way more meaning than others. Those which we really need in this society ,talking about mental, and this game with these kids and many of the in this community.
Thanks!
Bro pulled off a Freud Theory for Brawl Stars 😭😭💀
Really good video man, didn't expect to hear philosophical tips in a brawl stars guide
Best tips bro
Love to see this guy grow so fast in two days it’s really deserved. Really well done video keep it up 💪🏻
bro gave me a whole lecture about brawl stars ranked, he added more content then what my school did💀💀💀
Came here to say that this video is something everyone should watch coming into rank, or even getting into brawl stars in general. Even after playing for a while, I still make these mistakes and need a reminder for these things, so thank you for making this video!
I mainly need to focus on changing up my mental, as I blame too much on my teammates, so I’ll give this a better try. Thank you for the tip once again.
Underrated TH-camr
bro i feel ur words like they are instantly entering my brain 💆
insane advices, thx
As someone who is a semipro and streams, I constantly get asked that 0:12. I would usually just say that you should play the game. And while lane switching and pinching are important to learn, the only way to learn the game’s interactions are playing. Cool video though.
@@xemp33 13:08 yeah that’s a tip from the video
But I agree, picking a small handful of brawlers to learn all their interactions against other brawlers is the best way to improve and rank up
It’s better to know every interaction for just a few brawlers than to have a baseline knowledge of how to play every brawler, but not all the little things that go on in an actual game
Wow this was actually such a great video. Never seen another video that’s catered towards us non-pros, or at least non that were done well.
number one: dont be called bedlam
True lol
To play better is to be ur own critic. Thats the basic way of thinking of the video in my eyes
you explain so well and you put so much humor, plus your voice is good to hear, I just loved this video
My logic during draft: Oh shoot my opponents picked two alpha's I better pick an alpha too cause my teammate picked a beta that is useless against thos alphas .
@@Average_cucumber you might be on the road to becoming a sigma, keep it up ❤️
I'm not that Brawl Stars competitive (or active), but I fully agree with everything you just said.
(But thats beside the Point)
My only Point was, that it would've helped Out allot more If you would've explained how you Play the brawlers correctly (Not saying it should be Edgar nessecerly it could be brawlers Like Piper aswell).
See the Problem is, the Bad randoms themselves, I've Seen plenty of Matches where my team should've Out drafted Our compasitions, but we failed because the Gene/Piper/Larry was awful at the Game. These are the Same people who Always cause you the Matches regardless If you have the draft. Thats why Ranked sucks so bad

this was the most helpful brawl stars video ever. Honestly, the mental part at the end was some of the best advice ive heard ever
this is easily the best brawl stars guide on yt. i hope your channel keeps growing
Love the Freud reference, this is in fact so true and honestly a good skill to learn to play better🔥
this is one of the best brawl stars videos ive ever watched especially considering that the larger creators make content for the masses. MONKEY BUNNY
Brother this video is so informative and absolutely epic. I subscribed because your content is the type of content I tend to enjoy the way you gave these tips were just straight to the point but actually useful. As someone who's watched a ton of these videos this one stood out to me the most. Keep up the good work and thank you for the amazing tips
What an absolutely gorgeous video. Thank you for the advice and that last chapter actually helped the most ngl. I appreciate you my g, much love to you.
Man, thank you so much for making this video. I’m so tired of searching for tanked advice and people just giving vague advice that has no real application. I am a huge fan of this direct actionable advice and I WISH it were the norm. Keep up the fantastic work man, you instantly earned my sub.
This was great. I used to spam this game back in the first 4 years of its peak popularity back when there were only 4 legendaries. I recently downloaded brawl stars and im already diamond but I want to grow and this video gave me such a different perspective on not just ranked but the game in general.
I never thought about ranked in that angle and all tips about teemates was realy helpful ❤
Honestly thanks for this video man, I always peaked at legendary one and never get past it because I always thought that my teammates were the reason to my loses. This video was a good reality check to play better and to not rage at people
Wow, I've never got so cool tips, and not only for the game, but for the life itself :D
Thank you for teaching me, really good video.
What a great video. Things I needed to hear. Glad I found your channel
holy fuck, that’s probably one of the best videos i have ever seen. didnt see that coming from a brawl stars video.
thanks!
probably the greatest video for ranked advice on a video game ever
Thank you bro!! You're so underrated! My highest rank was Mythic 1 after so many randoms left the game after the first loss, but I'm pushing with my bro now and we're already at Diamond 1 in the new season, we're gonna get to Masters together!!
Wish you 2 the best of luck! :)
@@bedlamBS Ty!! :D
i very sincerely think this is the only ranked guide one might ever need. i realized all of the things you mentioned in this video on my own throughout my journey in brawl stars and i really wished that they were common knowledge in the minds of not just brawl stars players, but people in general (especially the mentality part). if more players in the game understood these concepts, games would feel way more satisfying regardless of the outcome, since i would rather lose after a heated match where everyone in both teams were playing really good than win after carriying my team through sweat and tears while they show off how fast they can spin around themselves and spamming thumbs down
Thanks man! that was one of the best guides i've seen and i learned so much from it
Loved the video man
Please continue this
Even if you switch to some other form of content other than bs, i would still watch it
Loved your personality at the end
thank you for this! i think I'm going to take that mentality from now on. a few days ago I finally left mythic and reached legendary 2, but now I had a very strong losing streak and I dropped to 7500 points, losing all the time, and I basically blamed the randoms for everything, and with this video i realized that i haven't been focusing on myself.
35 years old, playing this with my son....wanted to say thank you, your video was well done and made me chuckle a few times
Hopefully i'll improve so he won't be emberassed ^^
im extremely new to this game and i found this guide very useful, especially the mental part, keep up the great work 👍
