I'm adding Ilharg to my Sedris, The Traitor King, Unearth deck. With plenty of bouncing, phasing and Sundial of the Infinite. Ilharg is great to use with Unearth even without any of the blink effects, even if he gets exiled he just comes back 3rd from the top. Keep up the great work DJ!
A couple of cards that I put in my design you may like. Cold Storage and Dolmen Gate. Cold storage is a good sundial alternative. Dolmen helps protect things like dire fleet. I also like the Mindclaw shaman to go with the direfleet theme.
Btw, I made a jank version of the deck, and realized that Mirror March is actually pretty good. Like, let’s say, Utvara Helkite and Mirror March, with The Boar God cheating out that mana cost
Ramping would be crucial cause if your creatures leaves the field after your turn, you’re wide open for some payback. You’ll need to survive the early onslaught and not get left behind (and pray to the Lords of Chaos you don’t get mana screwed). 😁
If you use Divergent Transformation targeting your solemn simulacrum AND Ilharg, Ilharg's exile trigger will go on the stack, putting it 3 from the top. Odds are you will get Ilharg back onto the battlefield AND you'll get some other card out for free as well due to Div. Trans. finding it near the top of the deck.
ilharg the best creature of the game!.. i win mostly because of him.. combine his power to ghalta and build a deck with dinosaur creatures its fun to use ilharg like a yoyo effect haha
I thought this would be a bad kaalia, but then I remembered that there are eldrazi. Then I got exited for a moment and then you reminded me that the eldrazi trigger in cast. Guess I'll stick to kaalia.
So i was thinking the same but i still feel like dashing an eldrazi has to be good right? Plus you can get the old school one that makes opponent sac on attack.
Mirror March is a good include Sure the creatures won't attack with Illhargs ability however you have so many ETB triggers it could get pretty out of hand.
I'm pretty sure that you're right, on attack triggers like annihilator won't work either. I had a friend with a kalia deck and we ran into that issue with Aurelia the warleader's attack trigger.
Disclaimer: new to the game, trying to think of combos on my own. What about ilharg summoning spark double, who becomes ilharg who attacks, then summons someone like.... maybe an aurelia and then you attack again, two ilhargs.
Something worth noting if you're gonna build a deck around Ilharg is that when it brings creatures in their enter the battlefield triggers work and their combat damage triggers work too but any other trigger doesnt work
Unfortunately Sundial doesn't work quite that way. It says next end step. So it would return on your next opponent's endstep. This would just make the creature a target for removal. I tried this with my Ilharg deck and it would be wonderful if it worked that way but it doesn't :(
John Viney it does. I use it in my Illharg deck. Sundial exiles all triggers on the stack. The creature wouldn’t be returned to hand on your opponent’s end step because Illharg’s effect wouldn’t trigger a second time on your opponent’s turn because it’s not attacking on your opponent’s turn. Even if it did then Illharg would bring in a second creature and then the return to hand trigger would apply to the second creature you cheated in, not the first.
@@Brewlamar Interesting. I've only been playing since Rav Allegiance so I'm still pretty new. I've talked to multiple people that are much more knowledgable than myself (including at least one judge) and they said it couldn't be done. I'll have to look into it again. Thanks for the info man!
You need to go to your end of turn and put the trigger on the stack, then end the turn with Sundial. This is how you prevent it from triggering again, if you say skipped your own end of turn.
The word "next" is very key here. "At the beginning of the next end step" sets up a delayed trigger that triggers once and once only; if you Sundial with that delayed trigger on the stack, you get away with it forever. If the wording said "At the beginning of the end step" (like Arc Runner), it would trigger during each end step, so Sundial would save it only during your turn, and then you would lose it during your opponent's end step.

Great that you are featuring Boss Hog.
In the line of Divergent Transformations, Reality Scramble is also a fantastic card for turning your Ilharg floops into other big creatures!
Yes! On my to do list.
Thanks JUMBO!!!!!!!!!!
Is there any chance we could see a Morphon tribal-tribal. I think it would be pretty jank but fun to play
five color human!
@@christinabutterfield1801 Jodah and some other good humans would be great.
D.J. I've been waiting for this deck tech since Ilharg was spoiled!

You are totally my favorite magic channel 👌👌👌
added Ilharg to Xenagos' 99. Crazy Good.
The only god worth following !
Going to vegas I see! I did some tweaks to your budget virtus and gorm list. And I've got afew goodies of my own. Hope to catch a game or two.

Always up for a new mono red brew!
I was thinking of using him in a Xenagos Gruul deck! Seems interesting abusing ETB effects and pairing with God-Eternal Rhonas + Finale of Devastation
Equinox also with a viviens arcbow so that whenever he is killed you can bring him back
I use this actually, it works really well in my xenagos deck
I love how DJ just forgets neheb the worthy exists

@@jeffswett4579 it comes in attacking, the player. Annihilator is when the creature attacks.
@@MtgGalaxy ok. Sweet so you would still get that trigger at least

What about ilharg summoning spark double, who becomes ilharg who attacks, then summons someone like.... maybe an aurelia and then you attack again, two ilhargs.
Can't work, spark double wont get attack trigger after being summoned in. It enters after the declare attackers step which is when ilharg triggers.
Something worth noting if you're gonna build a deck around Ilharg is that when it brings creatures in their enter the battlefield triggers work and their combat damage triggers work too but any other trigger doesnt work
Ilharg biggest weakness is another player gaining control of ilharg permanently.
I made ilharg soon as he was spoiled and I've been shitting on people with it.
Mins also costs way less than the one in this video
tappedout.net/mtg-decks/oink-oink-bitches/
Just a rules thing. Kozilek triggers, as it is attacking, therefore it attacked.
Why does scourge of the throne has the modern horizons set symbol?!!?
That's vintage masters
It's vintage masters, not modern horizons
