Michael Jackson is the only person to get revenge on Eminem, it all started in 2004 when Eminem released the song, “Just Lose it.” The song roasted every part of Jackson’s career and talked about his plastic surgeries. In the music video, Eminem mocked Jackson by lighting his hair on fire and cutting off his nose. The song went double platinum and the entire world saw it, Michael said the song caused him a lot of pain especially since he respected Eminem as an artist. Jackson was so mad at Eminem that he tried to sue him and get the song banned. But after years of being unsuccessful, Jackson decided to use his power and take the beef to the next level. So instead of taking legal action, Jackson bought Eminem’s entire music catalog for $300 million. After the purchase, he basically owned Eminem and made him be quiet for the rest of history.

@@2beJTseeing how Dre had ownership in those songs I highly doubt he got all 300 million. I really don't believe any of this story but ill play along. This would be most true with his earlier stuff that no major label would sign to. Given that major labels are notorious for lopsided debut deals im sure smaller guys aren't a whole lot better. So I doubt he got the best of deals from Dre but they seem to still occasionally make appearances so there can't be that bad of blood. Now for the evidence to the contrary. Just this year Eminem sent a cease and desist to a politician that would sing Lose Yourself to commence his rallies. Not play Eminems version but literally stopped dude from singing his song. Seeing how Lose Yourself came out well before Just Lose It I would find it incredibly hard to believe he owns the rights to one and not the other.

Nope, the record company would have gotten most of that. The whole reason MJ could buy Em's catalog was bc it belonged to a record company, & not Em. Em didn't own his sh*t to begin with. But usually a record company will give them the opportunity to buy back their catalog once they've produced a certain number of records for them. No one knows the deals made behind the scenes, which contract was signed, but please respect Michael Jackson way of doing it, he didn't want to restrict Eminem and didn't want him being used as a subject, his failure to sue, increased the price ten fold, heck, my company would automatically enforce multiple lawyers to just ensure a prototype copyright would be bought at a ludicrously high price if another company failed to sue copyright infringement. What does that even mean. First of all, MJ bought Em's music, not Em himself - meaning Em got paid by MJ. Second, if you can buy something that means it's for sale. MJ made Em $370M richer with that purchase. Third, MJ never even changed anything about Em's music, so there was no "revenge" of any kind. Fourth, owning someone's past music has nothing to do with their first amendment right to say what they want about anyone, if Em wanted to he could have made 20 new songs dissing MJ, and there's nothing MJ could have done about it. He didn't because he didn't want to, if he had wanted to he would have undoubtedly done so during all those years MJ was unsuccessfully trying to sue him. Obviously it wasn't an actual "beef".
