Thank you Chris. Can’t believe these little monsters got off so easy 20-25 years, they should have locked up for life.
The UK rarely uses life sentences. Even their life sentences are about 40 years.
The urge said it doesn't mean they will be automatically released after serving their minimum sentences. IF THEY ARE STILL A THREAT TO SOCIETY BY THE PAROLE BOARD ,THEY ARE STAYING IN PRISON .every parole hearing the victims loved ones can appear and reject their application ..I hope tgey also rot but it's a justice system and not a revenge system .
They weren’t sentenced for 20 years, they were given life with a minimum parole date of 20 years, doesn’t mean they will be released then.
At the very least, she wasn't alone in her last moments... Absolutely heartbreaking and sickening.
Thank God that couple was there for her so she was at least comforted in her last moments 🙏May she rest in peace 🙏

Reminds me of the Slenderman attempted killing here in Wisconsin. Two young girls try and stab their friend to death. She managed to survive. They both went to a mental hospital. One got out and the other is still trying to get out.
They should have stayed locked up for life. Why are they letting these psychos out?

I get upset so many young people these days think nothing of murdering someone. It's a very scary world we live in 😢 I do not envy parents raising children, and I feel sorry for our young people trying to navigate through life in a dangerous environment. 🙏

My daughter was friends with both Brianna and Scarlett. When Scarlett first joined my daughters school, she was a bit odd, saying she was a witch and she'd used blood magic to kill people, weird things like that. My daughter and her friends just thought she was lonely and attention seeking so they let her hang round with them during school time. My daughter sat with her in a few classes including after-school revision clubs etc and she seemed nice, quiet and normal.
I'm not sure whether Culcheth high school told Birchwood high all the reasons why Scarlett was expelled, I know Culcheth is undergoing a safeguarding review to see if they could have done anything differently.
I certainly think birchwood could have done things differently or better for Brianna but obviously that's with hindsight and no one saw this happening, obviously we have crime round here but nothing like this.
After listening to a lot of reports from journalists inside the court, I truly believe Scarletts clothes weren't tested properly, there were issues with CSI technicians getting there quickly and financial restraints on what was tested and what they did test of Scarletts doesn't match what she was wearing as seen on cctv.
I think Scarlett is going to need a lot of help before she's even considered for release, if she's ever suitable to be let out. Even in the youth detention centre she's making kill lists of people including staff.
My daughter and her friends didn't know Eddie, but I get the impression that without Scarletts influence, he never would have done anything like this, he probably would have just been the weird nerdy kid that did well at school but didn't have many friends.
We've just had the 1 year vigil last weekend for Briannas death, a very sad occasion but her mum was able to attend, she's an amazingly tough lady who's trying to make positive changes to support mental wellbeing in local schools and social media changes to protecting children.
Thanks for sharing all this. We rarely hear about the people left behind other than a news story here and there.

As a Brit, it is shameful just how nasty some children can become. There are stabbings almost every weekend and tragedies such as this becoming all too common. How are the perpetrators dragged up to think this type of behaviour is acceptable? I despair for the future.

Such a tragedy. Brianna thought she had found a true friend. I cannot imagine what that poor girl was thinking when she saw what was going to happen to her. God bless those hikers that found her and stayed with her. Sadly, it was too late. My heart goes out to Brianna's family.

It's an outrage that, "life," could turn into 22 years, or 20 years in the UK. The fact is those kids are teenagers. They would still have half of life ahead of them potentially. Life in prison should mean life in prison. It should especially have an age limit that one would have to reach before release could even be considered. An elderly age limit. Horrible rotten people to murder an innocent person. Someone who trusted them and actually thought they were friends. Heartbreaking. 💔

As an English person it’s been horrifying to see this case unfold in the news. It isn’t coincidence that this comes at a time in which the government is vilifying trans women, and I thank you for covering this case respectfully regarding Bruanna’s identity and pronouns etc.
Also, for future reference, the suffix “shire” is usually pronounced “shear”.
(And the same cannot be said for the prime minister who recently made a transphobic joke in front of Brianna’s mother in the House of Commons, and refused to apologise when asked to do so by her father. )

This is one of the worst cases I've heard of I think. I can relate so much to Brianna. I was also a bit of a lonely girl at her age, with some mental health issues. I trusted too easy, luckily my so-called friends weren't out to hurt me that bad. But I can totally relate to the feeling of betrayal when you suddenly realize the person you've thought of as a friend, suddenly turned into your worst enemy. Especially if all you've wanted to do was to make sure everyone was doing ok!

Culcheth it's not a town it's a village, belonging to the borough of Warrington, which in turn is the biggest town in the district of Cheshire. Also she wasn't lure to the woods (in American terms) it's a park.

One of the killers was from my town, and I used to drive through Culcheth on my way to work. It's unbelievable that it could happen in what is generally a very quiet and rather middle class village. Such a horrific crime. RIP Brianna.

Poor Brianna, she seemed like such a sweet bright girl with a lot of potential. I firmly believe that teenagers who commit acts like this should never be let out without strict restrictions and constant monitoring. In my opinion the orchestrator is as (or more) dangerous as the follower. I still hate the fact that Karla Homolka is out scott free after the heinous murders she committed.

If trans was the reason you would have WAY more to back it up than this. These kids all hung out together. They were not ashamed to be seen with him. They said why they did this. He was the easier target. That's all. Full stop. There is nothing in their past to suggest that they hated people with gender dysphagia. Not internet searches that they conducted or message board posts of them engaging in conversations about hating this type of person. Nothing.... What we do have is lots and lots of evidence that they had a complete disregard for human life in general and a list of people that they targeted, suggesting that the victim could have been anyone.

It's scary that knife crimes in the UK has gone up in years, I'm 35 and scared to walk alone, when this case happened I wish death sentence was still around.

Our son is autistic, has ADHD and mild brain damage, a few people we know think we're way to overprotective of him, we disagree. He's never met a stranger, he'll talk to anyone, he thinks everyone is his friend, even though we've told him so many times there are people that would want to hurt him. He goes to a day center 3 times a week and they all know the only one he's allowed to leave is my husband and or I, he also works 2 times a week, we're really good friends with the 2 office girls, and they both know no one else picks him up but us. He's on the Special Olympics team for our little town, we go to all practices, tournaments, if it's an overnight event, he stays with his team and my husband, and I stay at a hotel 5 minutes away. He's 30 and will always live with us at home. I think even Satan himself would be afraid of these two.

What dies that have to do with this case? All evidence points to Brianna being murdered because he was the most trusting and an easier target than the others on the list. If this was about what people had in their pants there would be evidence of it. There would be other kids with genderdysphoria on the list.

If a man has cancer and his testicles are removed he's not less of a man. Or if a woman has a hysterectomy she's not less of a woman. The parts are just parts. What matters is what happens between the ears. That can't be changed. Multiple studies have indicated that trangender people have brains that are more in line with their gender than their biological sex. Yes, male and female brains are physically different.

Moreoever, there is no proof they choose him because he identified as trans--they chose him and then expressed a morbid fascination of what it would be like to kill him. Moreover, that's actually an interesting question scientifically speaking. The dude was probably intentionally altering his voice, so one might wonder whether his voiced was permanently altered or if he goes back to sounding more like himself when he's not thinking about it.
3. If your identity is based on a lie, you should be targetted and shamed for that. Doesn't mean you should be physically hurt, but a man shouldn't feel comfortable pretending he is a woman. You've brought the attention onto yourself if that's what you're doing, though I do not condone violence in most scenarios.
