If I wanted to use the Fabrik for both Kontroller stage backline positions and App based control for front line vocalists/musicians, would this replace the need for me to have Klang Fabrik? When should I use Vokal and when should I use Fabrik in other words?

I think it comes down to input channel needs. The Fabrik's max channel count changes with how many immersive mixes you need. The more mixes you need, the fewer inputs are available, but you can have up more than 24 channels (up to 56 max) and you can cascade multiple Fabrik units to increase the number of immersive mixes available. The Vokal seems to be fixed with a max of 24 inputs (out of a total of 64 inputs - selectable on a per mix basis). So if your musicians don't need to mix more than 24 inputs, the Vokal is certainly the cheaper option. But if you need more than 24 inputs, or just want to leave to potential to expand past 24 in the future, the Fabrik or Konductor are more appropriate.

Kontroller as well as app require a KLANG:processor. For an easy comparison, please check: th-cam.com/video/vwOPeMzVl1I/w-d-xo.html. If you need any further assistance, please get in touch with us at www.klang.com

Do you have it in Cape Town South Africa?

Is the Klang Kontroller is optional with the Vokal? Can you use another method (such as the app) to control each mix without using a Kontroller?

My understanding is yes. But it would be good to hear that answer more directly from Klang.

Hi Brian, yes, you can control KLANG:vokal with the :app, too.
