Unpopular opinion but the reason people buy snap on isn’t for flash or show, but for its long term durability and dependability. Think of it as buying a truck. Why would you buy a Chevy Tahoe when you can spend the extra 10-20k and get a Land Cruiser that will last 25 years or more??

I say spend on what you want to spend on. At the end of the day it’s just a box that stores and organizes your tools. I spent $600 dollars on a box 20 years ago I still today, and just added onto. Other guys bought the rape wagon boxes of equal size for $3k.

I recently bought two US general boxes. Definitely the difference is in cost. And if someone crashes into one of them or bangs it up with a vehicle I'm out just a few hundred bucks versus thousand and thousands. Snap on is good stuff but it's not worth the cost. Guys in a shop are like people in a retirement community. They all think how much they spend is most important. I see how much I can save and still do the job right as most important. I have my eye on a couple more of the US generals right now.

I see the difference in the boxes but I don’t see a $10,000 difference

Yeah, the difference is quite literally 800 dollars.

There's barely any weight in the drawer on the us general then look at the weight in the snap on drawer

Yup I see it . The snap on one has less tools becuse you can't afford to fill the snap on because of their prices
US general ,probably about 8,9 hundred for that tool box
Snap on probably 10,12 thousand for that economybox.
