    Cheers for this, just bought a Motu Ultralite to use with live and been picking my brains over this, didn't know about the midi sync delay option. Although I didn't read the manual in fairness but that's hat youtube's for.

    For an even more accurate method you can record the MIDI from the drum machine and visually see how far off your notes are from the grid. Adjust and repeat.

      never understood why anyone would work in the extremely microscopic and myopic session view, when you can see everything that is going on in arrangement view. if you dont need the visual information why use a daw.

    Hello is it possible to hook up a roland 303 bassline synth, a Moog sub37 to ableton & have ableton as the master & press play on the push2 & they all play together in synch?

    Does the midi clock sync delay work, when you are not syncing with the ext midi clock & only recording midi notes live. ? i get delays (in msec) while recording midi itself (not hearing wise but when I see the printed midi track , I can see its delayed).

  • @djbonne1

    Thanksssssssssss

  • @xisotopex
    @xisotopex 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    if you are just recording, you dont even need it to be in sync, you just adjust the audio on the timeline, dont need to worry about any of this. on the other hand, computer generated midi is notorious for extreme clock jitter so good luck using it live, but of course if you are sequencing external gear live, you already know about this and know how to get around jitter.

      Hey, did you solve the problem?, I've recently bought a couple of volca, the volca mix and the monotribe and I want it to sync with ableton but i don't have any clue how to do it.
