    Why is it that those who don't know anything have jobs? I'm right here in Boulder...80 year old CU Grad, vet and, forever supporter who's seen it all. From greatness (National Champions) to mediocrity. Along comes Deion who has faced ridicule as an unrealistic, self absorbed wannabe trying to promote his kids and other favorites. This man has stuck to his guns! Ignored the criticism and produced a football team that is just beginning to prove his expectations. Is he jumping up and down asking for accolades? Nope...just tending to business.

    He said “he managed this team quite well”, instead of saying “coached this team quite well”, couldn’t have said that and then still trying to slide in that he did it “HIS WAY”, not the “traditional”way. They don’t like a black man being confident and grounded even when we stand on business and deliver. Then he tossed in the “sycophants” in Colorado and then he used the term “drive by!” Dog whistle and YT ‘splaining! What they spoke like is that we see them and we see the lessons and barriers that are being broken by Deion and by his sons #2, 21 and 12. Money confidence grace and speaking on it. They embody black excellence (not perfection) in an intellectual, athletic, logical and common sensical manner which tosses the incorrect negative stereotypes that they strive to uphold as OUR norm. That’s why we must continue to set OUR own standard and be us and love every minute of it even the struggle because that forges us and keeps us strong and grounded.

    Paul Finebaum and other critics of Deion Sanders’ personality-suggesting he makes everything about himself-is based on a biased and aggrieved perception. While "perception" may be a reality for some, especially those with mental health issues or those harboring biases, the truth is that their perceptions are often murky.
    In this case, many of the misplaced criticisms and mischaracterizations of Deion Sanders seem rooted in the critics' grievances regarding his sales and marketing genius. It does not help that he is a Black man in a society or area dominated by Caucasians, who may not be receptive to his style of drawing attention to his successes at work. Many would rather he remain meek and not speak out against the lies told about him that aim to tarnish his reputation. Meekness is not always the same as being humble. In-spite of Deion Sanders seeming yearn to sell and draw attention to his work for the sake of creating more revenue, he's actually very "humble" - as in "conscious of one's (his) failings" and "courteously respectful."
    Despite this, Deion's sales and marketing strategies have been superbly constructed to promote, enhance visibility, and create significant revenue in a field where he was tasked with generating interest and funding for his program-of which there was none when he took over. Deion has masterfully succeeded, not only generating boundless revenue for the school program but also benefiting the city, state, and various businesses.
    The fact is, everyone who has a job or is in business is expected to perform well. When someone excels in their job, it’s natural for them to expect compensation that reflects their contributions. Deion works hard and has created opportunities for many people and institutions to make millions from his efforts and those of his surrounding team. He is smart enough to understand that he and his team should be appropriately recognized and compensated for a job well done. Especially since he is in a business where winning is everything. It's only fair that the team is recognized, compensated, and praised when they win, as they are brutally and unfairly vilified, mocked, and attacked when they lose.
    This leads to the criticism he faces, where detractors falsely characterize his success as him making everything about himself. In truth, perceptions are not always reality.

    • @spenser6353
      @spenser6353 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Deion does have an ego. Thats the reason he was a great player. You need a bit of an ego to be a great athlete. But coaches are not usually flashy like their players. So his style isnt going to be for everybody. Which is fine. Not everyone is going to like you.

But more importantly, HE HAS HIRED NFL FORMER PLAYERS AND COACHES TO HELP TEACH AND DEVELOP THEM! The players who he brought to the UCF game have demonstrated that they have bought in and truly believe in what CP is building. He can now bring in high school and JUCO players and select transfers, to go along with the returning players from this year, TO DEVELOP AND SUSTAIN A COMPETITIVE FOOTBALL PROGRAM! Reese gets hate because of her clear animosity towards Caitlin Clark which is clearly just envy. What has he done wrong? Prime is who he is and he's been exactly the same way since his playing days.
    It sounds like Finebaum and haters like him, are asking Prime to be something he has never been. Asking him to be a fake just to make the haters happy. No way.
    A person should just be themselves. And what does he actually say that bothers them so much? Are they just jealous of all the attention he gets or is it all the commercials he's in?

    Former football player here. Here is my take on Colorado.
    They are 4-1. Great performance Vs. UCF, a well coached team. Their Head Coach Gus Malzan coached Cam Newton and Auburn to a national championship.
    Colorado has improved defensively and their Oline is getting better week to week.
    I think Sheduer gets to much autonomy running the offense. He is a great talent and can make all the throws. At the same time he can turnover the ball and call some bad plays.
    If I’m Coach prime, I want to make this team a hard nose defense team with a strong ground game.
    The running game will take pressure and hits off sheduer and set up the big pass plays downfield.
    Kansas state is a good team. Colorado will need to put pressure on KStates QB early on offense, Colorado can take advantage of their secondary.

    • @jowillie935
      @jowillie935 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tell that to Lane Kiffin, Josh Huepel, & Lincoln Riley. Offense still counts & it's the buffs depth at offense that will overwhelm defenses. Someone has to score. Georgia lost to Alabama because they have never figured out offense. There is more to coach prime's system but this is the 1st year that the talent is in place. You will have to watch a 2nd or 3rd Jackson state game to see the system and the difference. Without seeing that you are missing what is coming. Context has to include what he did at Jackson state. Give him time please & enjoy what's on the way.

    - “Let the work speak for itself” because if you continue to do it your way (Coach Prime), my work will continue to speak for itself. And both it and I are being exposed as fraudulent.
    What’s so hypocritical is they don’t like Coach Prime because they think he’s arrogant. Yet the stench of their arrogance reeks to high heavens. As you stated in your comments, they’ve never built anything. Yet they’ve been critical, as if there has ever been a program that has been a successful program built in a year.

Furthermore, Paul's emphasis is not just on equality, but on unity.
