Well all we can say is that each culture has the oldest known form of writing or the wheel, but who invented the same is unknown. It doesn't matter. No one alive today speaks ancient Canaanite languages. Modern Hebrew is a form of Canaanite language but much changed over time. So those names are just translations from a dead language, approximations in sound.
