Gracias, Isabela! I'm late to the party, but your explanation was like a miracle. A lot of instructors will go very quickly through the material, but I liked how you played around with it a little to show the effects of each tool, as well as a slower pace to show exactly what you did. Happily subscribed!
I've been using Affinity for such a long time but every time you upload a tutorial, I'm surprised at all the small things there is that I didn't know about. Thank you!
Hi Tanya! Fear not, you can create a style from it and apply it to other objects or text just by clicking it on the styles panel. For this, go to View>Styles and on the top right menu for the Styles panel, selecting the object> Add style from selection. Hope it helped.
I almost never comment on YT - but this was AWESOME. Simple, clear, to the point and very useful - thank you! Subscribed and looking forward to exploring your channel :]
Really helpful!! Would you be able to do a video where you show the process of taking a project from start to finish including the colouring/rendering. Maybe a set of headphones or shoes, etc. I have a lot of trouble understanding how to use shading to give an object depth and make it look realistic. Thank you again.
Hi Isa, that's an amazing video! My question is if I apply this effect into a business card for example, the embossed effect is it ready for print or I have to use another technic for that?
Hi Rose. It is ready for print as long as you set your file for printing purposes of course. Also, remember to convert your fonts to curves before handing over to printer so they won't have a problem should they not have the font you used installed in their system. Hope this helped! Cheers!
Hi Gary, thanks for commenting. The font is called "BeachBar" and there's several websites where you can buy it. Here's one: www.myfonts.com/fonts/deartype/beachbar/
Thanks a lot Zero Amity - I guess just cause I've been using software like this since I can remember. When it comes to vectors, I started with Corel, then Freehand, Fireworks, Sketch, Gravit and then Affinity Designer. Those that I can remember, then from time to time Illustrator and Inkscape. I also have worked for companies developing vector software, so that adds. But also, I think once I learnt one, the rest was much easier to grasp. Kiss!
@@isabel_aracama Thank you for your reply I appreciate it. I would like to ask you, where should I start to learn the software? So I can become as good as you.
My channel for example? ;) Stay tuned as some new stuff more in depth is coming beginning next year. The best is to practice. Take some tutorials, take some artwork from other artists and try to replicate it, take this article I wrote and follow it and then show me what you did also: www.smashingmagazine.com/2018/07/flat-vector-illustration-affinity-designer/#top, see where you arrive. Take this tut and try to replicate it too: th-cam.com/video/zO4QoNltzBY/w-d-xo.html - Wherever you see you are troubled, look for tuts to solve the problem or/and ask. And again, practice practice practice! What I can tell you is that I was once where you are now and I had to learn almost all on my own. We have now many more resources :)

Isabel! This was ....hm.... delightful! Optical illusions and acoustic happiness... seems the teacher has fallen in love?! The real "Santa Klaus" had a lot of fun in this tutorial - although he didn`t (l)earn too many new skills... but, hej: look at these butterflies!!!! Hugs and ho ho ho`s: Santa :-) :-)
ha! that must be cause you're becoming, step by step, a pro ;) - Let me know if you have a special request for a tut and I´ll do my best to fulfill it. This was exactly that! Kisses!!
you are like a comic character^^ a nice one but with a touch of funny aggression^^ like in the moment when you start to complain about the program: "common! aargh!" or the moment when you wanna make clear that santa is yours only :P btw: your tutorials are great

Hi, yes. It's a textured background. Cheers.
Hi there, your work is amazing. I just have to ask, how did you become so proficient in Affinity Designer
