OMG, Thank you so much for this! I have tried about 5 different recipes and none of them were evn close to acceptable and all of them came from very reliable sources. Either they stay soft or the were hard and brittle. I made a loaf yestrday that not only piped perfectly but when I unmolded and cut it, it was absouletly amazing!!!! I also used your recipe for cold process embeds which was also a huge success!!!! My soap life has changed! Thank you so much for sharing your expieriences and your receipes!!!!!
THHHHAAAANNNNKKKK YOOOUUU for unmystifying the TOP SECRET soap frosting recipe and most importantly "how-to" ..its not so much about ingredients its about the method of blending and the almighty refrigerator tricks!!
I've watched a ton of soap icing/frosting videos and tried many of them. This seems like the most reasonable one I've seen so far. I can't wait to try it. Thank you for being generous and sharing! :)
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS!!!!! It is THE BEST icing recipe I have used to date! (and girl, I have tried A LOT!) Thank you Thank you!!! I'm FINALLY able to be happy with my end results now!!! Whoop! Whoop!
Very nice - I am addicted to Press & Seal, It's such easy clean up. I use a coupler to switch tips if I choose ton! Just to keep options open. I use a cake scraper & can eliminate waste some associate with it. I can paint mica or stripe or band colors. Negative - Its ridiculously expensive now. I also have a second kitchen aid for soap I love!. I have gone to using my same soap recipe (sometimes it requires patience to wait for that ideal consistency. Or an accelerating fragrance I often measure off % of milk/lye & butter/oils to begin a bit later opting to omit fragrance especially for those naughty fragrances.
My family and I absolutely love you! I started making soap and bath products years ago mostly hot process but your videos gave me the courage to try CP 😍 its my favorite creative outlet ! I had no idea though that while I was pregnant my twins were listening to your videos as i binged! Now.. At almost 5 months old... They KNOW your voice and when we watch your videos they react to your voice as if they knew you! Thank you for being an inspiration for my lil family!
Thank you soooo much for sharing your recipe and how to use it. I love making little soaps and stuff for people. I guess its my hobby....LOL. It's fun tho. New Sub!!!
Love watching your videos. Your soaps are amazing! Need to see more baby pics. Thank you so much for this recipe and tips. I have so much trouble piping.
Hey- I made this again today and it was perfect! I let the cold oils soften at room temp for a while longer and added the lye very slowly over 8-10 mins. Worked perfect!! Smooth and fluffy! Thank you SO much for this recipe! It's just beautiful!
Agnes O'hara to let it warm up? I kind of let it soften but not melt kind of keep watching it. Took and hour or two ish depends on how hot the room is too
Thanks so much for sharing all the info & your procedure for making this! I’m looking forward to seeing what you & Vanessa come up with to do together.
OMG TY! This is by far the best recipe I've seen. This would be great for cupcake BB. I typically don't like the sugar icing as I never get it to set up just right
Girl, this is an awesome recipe! I've never seen it done this way. It looks like it would pipe perfect flowers. I have a devil of a time waiting for soap batter to get to the right consistency. I don't know how long of a work time it gives you, but I'm going to try it! ~ Jill Gross

Cheryl the kitchen aid just makes it so much easier. Also while making the soap loaf I like to have this going in between. That way everything is ready to go.
i'm so glad i found this video! i've been wondering if you could use whipped CP soap for piping, but kept finding videos with M&P and soap whip, THIS was what i was searching for!! YAY! it seems like it would behave better while piping than waiting for my normal cp to get to just the right piping consistency, etc. thank you for sharing your expertise! :)
Thank you sooooooooo much for such an awesome tip!!!I can't wait to try it when my fragrance oil box from Nurture Soap arrives today!Love your videos!! You're such a lovely girl!! ❤️🤗
I can’t wait to try this recipe. Can you give me the exact recipe for this? I haven’t figured out how to use a soap calculator yet. What % of lye do use?
I just texted a post please read it all I was so grateful for this recipe ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you again I don't know where u got this recipe but this is a perfect way to make your frosting
Thank you so much for this informative tutorial. I'm wondering if this would work on mp soap? Also, did you mention that it can be used on cut bars of cp soap? Do I just need to spray well with alcohol to make sure it's adheres? Thanks again for all your great videos. They are so helpful and inspiring. 💕
Hey GypsyFae! I have had one heck of a time with soapy cupcake frosting and using the word "frustration" doesn't even begin to describe it. I'm looking forward to trying your recipe and thank you for sharing yours along with tips. Persevere!
I just found your channel and I have been making bath and body products for a while but I have been scared to try making soap because of the lye and I have been watching ALL of your videos. Thank you so much for making these videos!!! I have gotten the courage to make soap because of your videos 😊 hopefully the tune out good lol
Hi I love all your videos. Thank you for these you are so creative. In making the soap frosting, Can I use a hand mixer instead of a stand mixer? Thanks.
The icing looks very nice and I like that you can use it with no waiting. I would like to try it one time . What is the right recipe the one you are explaining in the video or the one in the description box ?
Thanks. It is an extra step but makes the creamiest fluffiest tops. The formula in the box is designed for everyone to use. You can take the formula and design it to fit the mold you use. More or less.
When you enter the formula in to a soap calculator the water percentage it is 38%. Once you enter in the oil amounts it’ll give you the lye measurement.
Thank you for sharing! I have used a recipe I developed but it uses melt and pour with Stephensons body butter. I would much rather have a soap like this. Does it cure to a light whipped soap (CP) consistency? I am guessing it does. I use whipped soap iced on my cupcake bubble bath bombs and tried a regular soap. It piped and looks lovely but is too heavy and some just fall off the base since the base is not soap. So I am hoping this is lighter.
Thanks for sharing!! I can’t wait to try this but I’m allergic to Shea butter. Do you think I can just add more cocoa butter and I’ll run it through the lye calculator too?
The video is great! Can you tell me which lye you use in this recipe NaOH (Sodium Hydroxide) or KOH (Potassium Hydroxide)? Also, how fast do you have to pipe before it starts setting up? Can you pipe flowers with this recipe? If you get the frosting "soap" on you while decorating will you get burned?
I am trying this recipe out. I had to do more shea butter as I was low on cocoa butter. I have had it in the fridge for 40 mins or so and it isn't hardening back up. Does it, generally, stay in there for hours? Thanks!
Hi Tierra! I loved this video. I wrote down the measurements you used for the oils. It says 35% for the water solution. How much lye and water did you use? Thank you!!!
HI!! thank you so much for this! i tried it and my first pipping went smooth and shiny but the second time was like a lump texture, i dont know what i did wrong :(
Hi Tierrafae, it's very kind of u to share a lovely, easy CP soap frosting recipe such as this.. Kudos to you!! I don't know this but do u do M&P frosting as well..? If yes can you please PLEASE share a recipe that doesn't require a pre made bath whip and meringue powder??? I've been looking and I can't seem to find one, I'm very new! Also not that I ever think I'll graduate to CP soap making everrr.. But this frosting just like the soap itself has to sit for 4-6 weeks before it's usable yes?? Thanking you once again.. Much love!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
👋 sorry but I don’t have a MP frosting recipe. Never even thought about that but now im curious. Lol yes this recipe is cp and cures for 4-6 weeks. Still useable but doesn’t last as long in water.

That was great. Thanks. I do have a problem though. Every time I go to soapcalc It is like a foreign language and I just freeze up. Any chance you could give it in ounces or grams. Thanks and keep the videos coming.
It really does depend on the amount you want to make. It can vary every project. Say you want to make 54 ounces of soap frosting. You’d need to find the percentage of each oil from that. I’m sure there are videos on TH-cam that might help. Maybe this one th-cam.com/video/e2IfuosYBos/w-d-xo.html
Can you use this in cold process soap as a topping and does it dry/cure differently if I have a different soap recipe? Do you think it will harden in 4-6 weeks? Also can we use an immersion blender or do we have to use a stand mixer?
It does contain a little less water so it will cure a little quicker. 4-6 weeks is plenty of time. I recommend a hand or stand mixer if you want the fluffy “whipped” look.
It's sarah refreshing to find other soap makers who do not gate keep
You little darling ,it’s as if you knew how badly I needed this tutorial. Thank you very much.x

Got it. The 38%’water was throwing me off. Thank you.
Its throwing me off, is there lye in it?
When you enter the formula in to a soap calculator the water percentage it is 38%. Once you enter in the oil amounts it’ll give you the lye measurement.
Whats the measurement for the lye water?

Depends on the amount of oils for your batter size entered.
@@LunaFaeCreations it is from your recipe. You mentioned in the video. Thanks
OK. GOT IT. THANKS SO MUCH.

I usually pour up the oils the night before and through them in overnight
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
So, it doesn't matter the temperature of lye and oils? Could be different or both at the same?
I love your video thank you very much
Doesn’t matter. Temp of the oils/lye only really affects the soap gelling/heating up. The lye and oils will still make soap regardless. 😊
Hi Tierra! I loved this video. I wrote down the measurements you used for the oils. It says 35% for the water solution. How much lye and water did you use? Thank you!!!
You’ll need to enter the percentages in to a soap calc to determine the amount of lye you’ll need for the size batch you plan to do. 👍🏻
Hello..i love your work..how do I make this recipe. I don't understand the percentage of lye and water
Thanks! 💜 You need to work with a soap calculator. Once you enter in your oil amounts it will give you lye and water measurements.

Firstly thanks for the icing video that's a blessing, Q how long with the icing last before it goes hard, please
It’s still considered cold process soap so it sets up just like any other recipe. It’s just not as dense.
Where can I find the regipe?
Hi. this recipe is just for the icing or can I use for the base of cupcakes without whipping? Do you know the calculatios for 12 cupcakes?
It can be used without whipping and just blended. And your calculations depend on the size mold and how much it holds.
