Mind-Blowing Tower Crane Split Screen Concrete Pour
in this video The tower Crane is tasked with pouring 180 metres of concrete. I chopped up this video so the viewer could hear all the conversation between the crane and the crews on the ground. I will have more footage of this pour to show but I wanted to give this style a go. See what you think. Man, I miss working around cranes! I used to build wind turbines for a while. We used to have races between the crews for who could stack out the whole turbine the fastest. I think 2 hours was the record. There would be a guy climbing the tower section as soon as it got overhead so that he was up by the rigging as soon as it got slack. The rigging trailer would be parked as close to the next part as possible so that we could take the rigging off quickly and hook up to the next part quickly. The other crew managed to stack out 4 turbines in a 12 hour day. Most of that time was the crane tracking to the next pad and moving crane mats. Once that crane was on the pad though, that hook never stopped!
