Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings to search out a matter. I would like to share an observation I believe you will appreciate that will bring many myths to a more literal meaning in first my video 'Sound reason' with examples of seraphim and electrical processies that obscured them and second in my video 'Begining of understanding ' where I give Scriptural references and more examples of seraphim transmutated into the elements I hope you'll consider watching Godspeed
To obtain "gnosis" is a long process that requires much work. There's no "secret knowledge" that one is given it's ac secret one can ONLY obtain for themselves.. on most every Egyptian temple was the admonishment "man, know thyself" on the walls of the oracle of delphi is the inscription "know thyself and you will know the universe and the gods" gnosis is the process by which one can directly experience who they truly are.. i can tell you you're a spiritual being, you can believe and have faith that you are but you don't KNOW. Gnosticism is just another word for the ancient mystery tradition and the way this was accomplished is the greatest knowledge man has ever possessed. Its the "prisca theologia" that underlying current of truth that runs through all religions,, polytheistic and monotheistic they are all the same. The reason they all appear so vasty different is that they used different methods of encoding the truth. They did this by encoding the methods and teaching thereof in highly complex symbolic allegory that today we call mythology. What does Jesus, Osiris. Odin, persephone, Orpheus, the Aztec hero twins, sun wukong from China, attis, innana from sumeria , gilgamesh, dionysius and countless others all have in common? They all in some way conquered death.. be it by escaping the underworld or resurrection they are all allegory for the same thing. In those myths YOU are the main character, you are the one who must conquer death and you do that by discovering your true self. To be clear this was and is kept secret because in order to accomplish the great work one must learn certain truths about this existence that once understood and mastered give one an incredible advantage over others and so it was only given to those of high moral character.. one doesn't "apply" one if asked to join.. you'll find great wisdom in the work of mr watt's but the truth you sea curious about was NEVER written down.. you will mostly just find speculation and people who have fallen for the numerous blinds that hide the mysteries to this day.. if this is something you truly wish to know then seek it earnestly and the mysteries will find you.. they still exist , nothing was ever "lost to time" just kept hidden from those who would abuse it. Plutarch on isis and Osiris, Therefore, Clea, whenever you hear the traditional tales which the Egyptians tell about the gods, their wanderings, dismemberments, and many experiences of this sort, you must remember what has been already said, and you must not think that any of these tales actually happened in the manner in which they are related Demetrius said "Mysteries are expressed in allegories, for the purpose of inciting confusion of mind and terror,"
I have encountered several interpretations of the word "Gnosis". One definition which I am partial to is that gnosis is a gradual process as opposed to satori, or instant enlightenment. According to another definition, gnosis is only the first step, with theosis being the ultimate goal. In our modern world, meanings of words are getting more and more difficult to pin down. But ya, very well said. thank you.
@NHgnosis-xq8jk it is very much a step by step process. The best example of this is how it is expressed in vedic philosophy. This is expressed as the 5 koshas. Think of yourself as an onion with different layers. These are the layers of ignorance that must be removed one by one. They are Annamaya kosha: The physical body, also known as the food body Pranamaya kosha: The vital energy, breath, or life force sheath Manomaya kosha: The mental body, which represents the mind and emotions Vijnanamaya kosha: The wisdom body, also known as the astral or psychic body Anandamaya kosha: The bliss body, which is the deepest and subtlest of all layers.. this is the core of your self . In the Norse path, the one I follow there are 4 divisions the hamr (“form”), the hugr (“mind”), the fylgja (“direction”), and the hamingja (“luck”). In Egypt there were 9 distinct levels of the soul.. be it 5 , 4 or 9 (every ancient faith will have these divisions) they must all be dealt with one by one.. this is because we falsely identify the self with these layers.. the first is always the body.. one must KNOW that they are not their body they are more and so that layer must be dealt with . Next we identify ourselves with our mind but we are not our minds we are more and one must be led to not only understand this but to KNOW this.. To KNOW by direct experience. Each of these layers must be removed one by one until one gets to their true self. .. Remember that all these definitions you see are all written by people who are just guessing, I can tell you that nothing I've said is my "opinion" it's what is and that i was blessed to have been initiated into the mysteries almost 20 years ago and I'm still far from the ultimate goal but anyone can say those things.. truth is truth and one almost always has to discover that for themselves. .if I were you I'd start getting intimately familiar with mythology..particularly of tales about escaping the underworld.. the mysteries of elusis were tied to the myth of persephone and demeter and how she escaped the underworld (conquered death) the path I follow is tied to trials of odin and his search for wisdom.. (BTW demeter searched for persephone for 9 days and ate no food for the entire time which the initiates of elusiniam mysteries also do...odin hung upside down on the world tree for 9 days, pierced in the side by his spear not eating or drinking for the entire time until finally he KNEW the runes... the 9 day fast Is assure you not a coincidence) In sumeria we see it is innana who must escape the underworld, in mesoamerica it'd the Aztec hero twins, in China it's sun wukong.. there's also Orpheus and so many others.. read and understand their journeys.. that's what I would do..

Plutarch on isis and Osiris,
