That generation Camry won a track event recently in Australia. And I have an ES300 from this regeneration that shares a V6 with this car. They're not V8s, but they're no slouch either
That's what I like about these. It's so quiet, smooth and sedate looking that when you pull off hard, you don't have to worry "too much" about unwanted attention and just cruise, then blend right back in traffic lol.
Homely ppl don’t kno bout Camrys bro😂 yea it’ll never b a favorite of the car community but I literally smoke v6 chargers, etc in my 96 w the lil ECT pwr mode button🤣🤣 Nothing crazy but gets the job done and has them questioning the 10k they spent to lose to my whoopty
Super light body with a well-built V6, the Camry is a hitter for sure. That was my high school car and I once beat my friend who (very badly) drove a Porsche :p
@@truskilive1233there’s no way your 99 4 cylinder is 5 seconds. It’s rated at 10.8 back in 99. I have a 98 with the same 4 cyl as urs and while it’s torquey and quite peppy feeling at lower speeds, it’s horrendously slow at higher speeds
Got the jump.is oldest car there and will go further than any of those following. The others will be in junkyard in a few yrs that old 90s camry will still be cruising. Guy in a v6 mustang wanted to race my 03 v6 camry. I said no problem race you to 500k miles and he looked at me funny. I said how many miles on te stand he said 75k, I said I got 335k so in 165k I will be here Bring your new car as that thing will be in scrap yard in 165k miles. The camry was the best car of all of the ones that drove past
That gen Camry will probably outlive all those cars

Maybe. I have a inline4 99 model that has a 5 second 0-60 which I’m still shocked by, so it wouldn’t shock me if it’s a stock Camry.
