Hornbill TV is one of the big media platforms where people trust the information circulated by them. So please don't give half information or information based on rumors. NET is still mandatory for ASSISTANT PROFESSOR. Only for ENGINEERING STUDENTS, NET is not mandatory. OR those who have P.hd degree, NET is NOT REQUIRED. BUT those who don't want to go for P.hd, they still need to clear NET. I hope this helps. Thank you.
@benchilo, exactly!! Half news are always very disappointing. There are many students attempting UGC-NET/JRF. The exam is going on now. This kind of news bring a sense of demotivation. No doubt, we trust HornbillTv but doing a thorough research before telecasting such news would be much appreciated in the future!
It's been 3 years, I stopped giving exam for Asst Professor in NPSC. People who are not even getting half of my marks in GS are getting selected. Our future is in good hands 😂 yes, my account is genuine, political Science department RS Scholar.
Haha .... it's not necessary to get very high marks like a brilliant student 😂 to be an assistant professor.... high marks doesn't makes a quality teacher and a quality teacher may need not to get tops marks in the exam😂😂😂
It’s sad to know that you have just your subject matter knowledge like mugging up and vomiting in your semester answer sheets . Differentiate the competitive exam and college degree exam then you will be able to crack the npsc ces exam . Simple as it is
@AtuJorror..I don't understand your statement here coz in NPSC CESE,marks obtained in General Studies( GS) matters a lot. In fact, most aspirants can score good marks in their respective subjects. It's the GS which is the defining factor in this exam
The downfall of the education system in India. If there is no competition at the national level what is the use of the academic marks? Most of the colleges and Universities marking is for name and fame. They gave liberal marks to produce more rank holders from their colleges( say for example 30/30 for internal marks leaving no space for improvement), which only prove that students are better than teachers. Academic should not be exam oriented but there should be atleast IQ test to join the profession by conducting NET exam. Moreover, there should be one IQ test exam even for politicians to take up their profession, and should not be base on money power. Teachers and students all over India should protest for this.
With a master's degree and NET you can still apply for assistant professor. While a PhD holder can also apply or eligible for it. Just that NET isn't the only way.
Nothing much changed.. Plz read the draft before Posting with half baked news They expanded to facilitate the 4 year + phd program U still need to gv net exam to qualify for the phd as per the new ugc guidline Dont lose hope for those preparing for Netjrf ..api score is smiling in the corner 😂
Lowering standards for recruiting Assistant Professor is not the right move. Another horrendous decision from the government. The rationale given being 'to make recruitment flexible' is ridiculous and nonsense at worst. This move will usher in widespread nepotism and backdoor appointments in government run institutions.
Also it's important to find out the capability of the teacher ...some highly qualified academicians with PHD can't teach ! Have no rapport with the students 😅
True, Requires skill to disseminate knowledge they have , some teachers are well qualified and has good reports but can't give the knowledge they possess.
I have had PhD holding professors who don't know how to actually teach and who looks lifeless and it seems as if they are just doing the job for the sake of it. I felt like they can't even explain nicely or there is not flow in their lectures probably because they don't have any core knowledge of that particular topic. I have had NET qualified teachers who were much efficient. I don't mean to demean all the phD holding teachers but as a general outlook. In my opinion, I don't want to compromise on NET. I'm also an aspirant but never, NET qualification is what makes the difference.
People with less knowledge of subject but have high conections with top officials will become asst prof. Most probably in curropted states...beware of this ......the only way to stop such is by keeping higher minimum educ. Qualification....there is no age limit for Net...if u have the knowledge u can crack it....
People who fits to be an Assistant Professor will definitely clear NET because at the end he or she should be expert in the subject that he is about to teach!!

Thumbnail says alot ....they should not provide unprofessional message like this.
academic weightage should be done away with..our times even the toppers percentage was just 60 to 67%..
100 %agreed
Remove academy weightage or make difference between percentage batch n CGP batch or else no candidate from percentage batch will clear this exam
Candidates with NET will always have preference and it should be. Lowering the standard instead of improving the actual system
Useless instead NPSC should curb academic marks and make it 100% competition like NPSC ncs

@pious9567 if not, PG with 50% and a PhD for assistant professor

Screw the eligibility criteria first and foremost "Where is the job vacancy?"
This is how our education system is declining 🗿
now we can only hope good candidate apply for the post.

Very happy. Thank You God. It's really a big help for the students like me🙏🏻🙏🏻
So what's the requirement now PG with B ed, M ed, phd or experience?

It doesn't make sense 😂. Net should be mandatory to know the depth of own subject bfre teaching to others.

What to do.. colleges or universities authority always prefer minimum JRF or NET holder..😂
Net has nothing to do with, Get Phd and go for teachers training.
