I don't know if this helps with your life journey or not; my go to sin is wrath. I'm not patient and become irritated then furious at work especially because well coworkers. One thing that Jesus taught me is to reach out, even the most mundane silly everyday things minor inconveniences sort of things that seem absolutely ridiculous to pray about (that NO ONE in their right mind to come forth and say aloud and if you did they'd be like couldn't you have called your momma for that?) BUT what I didn't realize before is allowing Jesus to serve me in turn allows me to serve Him. If it means I'm trusting Jesus instead of falling into what I already unconsciously know is a sin but choose to pray, then it's not silly.
Don’t give up on your boy. I’m 27 and put my mother through hell living a street life, becoming an alcoholic and drug addict. I always knew Jesus but I wanted to live in sin more. But until I had absolutely nothing and Jesus stripped me of my pride I quit and slowly came back to him. Now I’m clean two years and started school a few months ago going back for a computer career making my family proud. Boys are tough but their also tough if you know what I mean lol. God bLess you mom for not giving up. If he knows Jesus he will make you proud.

Rigorous honesty here. I recently got out of a 28 day rehab for alcohol/addiction. I heard this song for the first time the day I got out. The first line, "I was sick and tired, of being sick and tired" had me at hello. The next day was Sunday, and I was on my way to church with my mom. I showed her this song on my phone. After the song, we proceeded to turn the radio station to the local christian channel, and this same song was playing again. We laughed that God really wanted me to hear that song right right then. Later that day, I got in the car again to go to an AA meeting. And that song was the first thing playing when I turned my car on. All I can say is, thank you, God, and thank you, Josiah Queen!

The lines “I don’t want what I can’t take with me in the grave” made me realise something really important. No matter what we achieve in this world. It doesn’t mean much to God. It’s better to be able to give than constantly trying to keep and take what you think should be yours because you will loose all of that anyway after going to heaven. I love this song so much. I spent a lot of my early adulthood either trying to do it on my own or trying to fake my relationship. Only since COVID have I completely done a 180 and now my husband and son have been baptized and we are all really involved in our church and just… I’m so thankful for Jesus and the grace we are given because I still screw up all the time but all I want is Him, anything having to do with this world… I just don’t want it. I’m thankful I had the opportunity and time to turn things around and lead my family to the Lord as well. I never thought I’d live to see 30 due to a lot of reasons (chronic illness, mental health struggles, stupid choices/mistakes). Had that been true I’d have never gotten back to the Father. And I know of a handful of times I should have absolutely died but was miraculously saved in time that can only be explained by God. But just wanted to say how much I appreciate this song and how much it resonates with this part of my life. 💙

With this new knowledge I will try to better myself and change how I would usually act to situations.

I love this song so much. I spent a lot of my early adulthood either trying to do it on my own or trying to fake my relationship. Only since COVID have I completely done a 180 and now my husband and son have been baptized and we are all really involved in our church and just… I’m so thankful for Jesus and the grace we are given because I still screw up all the time but all I want is Him, anything having to do with this world… I just don’t want it. I’m thankful I had the opportunity and time to turn things around and lead my family to the Lord as well. I never thought I’d live to see 30 due to a lot of reasons (chronic illness, mental health struggles, stupid choices/mistakes). Had that been true I’d have never gotten back to the Father. And I know of a handful of times I should have absolutely died but was miraculously saved in time that can only be explained by God. But just wanted to say how much I appreciate this song and how much it resonates with this part of my life. 💙
