Awesome video! I just finished my racing whoop for this season and it also uses the BetaFPV Air brushless flight controller 5in1, and I can definitley say it is a breeze to build with! It also has made this build the best performing whoop I have flown to date. Great work from BetaFPV!
When you get to certain age your hands and eyes don't work the same way as they use to and soldering this small becomes an interesting challenge. You can see in the videos how my hands shake when I'm going to solder and aiming to one pad is not the easiest job lol
I guess I should have commented before watching the video, looks like you soldered just fine, would help if you had some helping hands so the board don’t move wile soldering 😉 😉 😉
I do have some very nice helping hands, but somehow I find them a bit on the way. That's why I use the clay under the board. I don't know if you notice it in the video. The clay holds the board in place and works fairly ok. The only problem is that if you head up much the board the clay melts and gets annoying to remove later. Not a big issue, just some extra cleaning work when using the clay.
I'd like to know more about all the stuff you have to do after you've finished the physical assembly before you can fly... in other words, all that computer work you flew through at the end of the video.
Hi. There are many videos on that around the internet, and basically what I did was to load the air65 CLI which you can find in betafpv website, and check the motor position and orientation. Add my rates and my switches. That’s it. If you have any specific question or need help feel free to contact me. And of course, I could use the air65 CLI because it’s the same AIO. If the board was different you can’t load the CLI as I did.
The RCInPower 27k motors have great power but they are super power hungry! I get like 1min less flight time compared to the betafpv 27k or happymodel 28k motors
I had not think that much about it. I still get around 2 min of fly time with the 280 mah from BetaFPV which I think is similar to my Air65. But I will test more this before I decide to bring this motors to the shop.
@@NordFPVi thought it was just me maybe but other reviewers have mentioned similar. With 300mah i get 3:30 on air65 but when swapping motors to rcinpower i was down to 2:30
@@dropfile betafpv motors are lightest from my weighing (without connectors) BetaFPV 0702SE 27000: 1.35g HM SE0702 28000: 1.40g But yes I agree happymodel are fragile
That canopy support does not hold the antenna down, in fact is known to put pressure on the UFL connector during crashes and there have been countless reports of it tearing the connector clean off the board. BetaFPV literally cuts the canopy that way on all of the newer BNF Air65 and 75 builds that they ship.
@@fullhamfpv hence why I said glue them on, e6000 is best as it can still flex in a hard crash but won’t rip off the whole connector making the board useless, ask me how I know…
I thought about holding it with the canopy, but then I saw that there's only one position where that will actually work, and I didn't like how the connector was there. I think I rather have that space clean of canopy for safety.
One big mistake dude. Your props are not seated down on the bell. Those motors have 1 mm shafts and by not seating them all the way down increases the probability of bending the shafts.

My favorites are tattu 300 mah.
aren`t RCinpower 0702 too powerfull for the betafpv aio? I wanted to use the 19000Kv ones. should I buy 27000Kv?
I think they work pretty well. I need to do more testing about battery live. Seems like they are power hungry, but they fly very nicely
Nice build mate - e6000 will defo keep that ufl in place - yet to hack my betafpv canopy on my air65/75 but it’s next on my list

HM motors are the lightest however there are very fragile. Rcinpower are heavier but they are more robust usually.

Too bad i sold all my analog. Went with WS 1s build at 28g, but now enjoying line of sight whooping.

U can add a chamfer to the inside so it flushes. For plastic canopy, i also prefer pushing the plastic using not so hot soldering.
