I have the dreaded P0720 code- dropped the exhaust and drive train, removed the tail of the tranny and replaced with a hitachi sensor put it back together still throwing the code. Did the job again this time with a genuine Nissan sensor (I had a Hyundai that didn’t like aftermarket sensors only genuine). And it’s STILL THROWING THE CODE!!! My next step is TCM replacement, the car has been laid up for a month, very frustrating especially working in a garage on blocks with little under car clearance!
@@samuelgarcia3090 I swapped out the TCM on the valve body from Amazon- car is running like a champ!! It’s a big job, not as extensive as the output sensor but dropping the tranny pan and removing the valve body and keeping the bolts straight is difficult.
How long of a job is it? My 2017 Q70 is in the shop right now from the same issue. The part took 3 weeks to arrive at the shop, so I've been down a month.
does this transmission work with dual clutch or freewheel? Does P2958 error code (Clutch "A" Pressure Disengagement Performance) points to issue with valve body or something different?
I bought my replacement trans from LKQ on their ebay website which includes a 6 month part only warranty. I was lucky to have a few trans options that is here in Houston Texas. I would just buy another trans since you'll be getting another tcm and valve body that is bolted inside the trans. Replaced my original trans and had no issues so far. If this 2nd trans does ever go out, I'll be doing a VR30 trans swap.
im gonna try it lol but from what i saw in one video you have to get the computer programmed i hope thats not true but im going to do it anyway because why not my tcm is already going bad
i have the same p0720 code, appreciate it took me forever to figure out it was actually valvebody related
Glad I was able to help out.
Did u ever fix your car dom
Did you rebuild the valve body?
Awesome great info
Can I use a used TCM or I have to buy a new one?? Thanks for this vids

Yeah
What is the cod number for the stock valve body
why is it the valve body ? what fails inside ? im in houston as well
my question is would i have to buy a tcm or valve body which part creates the problem
Valvebody. Tcm wil rarely ever become defective
does this transmission work with dual clutch or freewheel?
Does P2958 error code (Clutch "A" Pressure Disengagement Performance) points to issue with valve body or something different?
I wouldn't be able to tell you about that since I haven't encountered that specific code.
Test the solenoid.
Where would you recommend I buy a new TCM and valve body? Trans went out at 55k, same codes.

Well I’ll be. My 2015 Q50’s valve body went out last Thursday at about the same mileage. Why is there no recall for this junk?
