    This square is absolutely gorgeous! It reminds me of ears of corn, especially in the original colourway. I agree with you, the "wrong" side looks better..

      I agree the wrong side is much prettier.
      However, do you think if you made it just one continuous square it would be ok or would it be way to heavy? Thinking of baby blanket.
      Thankyou

    Its pretty, i have made this particular block a few months back. I didnt like it in normal DK although it was fine. I tried it in a thinner yarn and was a really really elegant looking block. Like you said choose what yarn you like and hook size to match. As long as its the enjoyment of creating its all fabulous. Thanks for sharing. 😊

    Love this, as I always enjoy your videos. I know it’s not related to this project but I have almost finished your chunky ribbed pattern. I was wondering if you could recommend a fairly simple border please. I am quite a novice so would need to be quite easy. Thank you so much.

    • @BlossomCrochet
      @BlossomCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is awesome! And yes absolutely, I think a moss stitch border is always a winner for ANY project and it’s nice and simple but looks so neat!

  • @monaurbina3295

    I love this pattern,it's very different from what I'm used too. I'm using it with the Yarn Bee/Sugarwheel yarn,it's softer yarn than what I've worked with. My problem is I'm following the pattern EXACTLY how you've done it but for some reason it's coming out wombley.,.it only looks like a perfect square when I block it and once I take it off the block it goes right back to being wombley...any help would be appreciated?! Thank you 😢

    Any tips on how to keep granny squares all the same size,sometimes mine are a bit off which makes them hard to sew,

    • @BlossomCrochet
      @BlossomCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you’re making them all the same size (same number of rounds) then I’d suggest blocking them if they’re a little different to each other. You can either do that with a blocking board or if you just have four pins then you can just stack them and spray them one at a time with a tiny bit of water and then pin them on top of each other and leave to dry. 🥰🌸🧶

  • @ritatannehill7487
    @ritatannehill7487 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is very pretty - but I always turn my granny squares because they are eventually “wonky” if I don’t especially if I am making one large square blanket - will that not happen with this design as well ?🧐

    • @thxra_
      @thxra_ 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hiya! Try blocking them on a blocking board x

    • @monaurbina3295
      @monaurbina3295 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm having that problem...I'm doing a larger size granny square in this pattern-i love it-im following it exactly how she does it but it's coming out wombley and yes i even try blocking it and it looks like a perfect granny square on it but once i take it off,its wonbley again...idk if it's cause of the type of yarn I'm using which is Yarn Bee/Sugarwheel,it's soft!!

    Very pretty square, prefer the solid colour square as the puff stitches are the sole point of interest. IMO the multi coloured yard distracts.

    I hate the puff stitch. No matter what hook I use, yarn I use, or tension, I can never get the loops tall enough to make them look right. They always end up looking like bean stitches. So annoying.
