An Asian designer (Indian, Korean, or Japanese) would be amazing and a exponential boost Loewe’s profile in Asia, which has been the global cash cow for luxury designer houses for many years now….. RIP Y/Project…

Loewe is already big in Japan and China though. An asian designer will barely affect promotions and sales.

Hedi - own Brand or Gucci. He needs to be making some magic.

Definitely. I can’t get enough of his rock 'n' roll aesthetic. More skinny jeans, immaculately tailored suits, and high heel boots please. I am over the current oversized look in fashion that hides gorgeous, attenuated physiques under too much volume of fabric.🥳

OH Hedi, Hedi, Hedi... I am at the edge of my seat over here. WHAT is next? Thanks for adding the link to that article, too!

Wherever Hedi goes it will be great thing to observe. After all considered, he is the best living designer at this point in time. He has only success stories behind him even if the odds were against him many times. As for Kering lawsuit, he also had disputes with LVMH back in the days and they called him back. He is that great.

Umm Mary , Glen is at Doesel and he has a new role for Zara men’s and women’s that’s about to drop!!!
Hedi is rumored to be going to Gucci if he doesn’t take the job at Armani

Loewe is my fav fashion house, I own 2 bags from them. Sad to see Jonathan Anderson go :( Not sure who will be able to capture the same whimsy in his designs

If the Proenza designers to Loewe is true, this is interesting because you're not wrong in noting that they are a bit more 'commercial' when it comes to contemp fashion. I also remember Jack/Lazarro saying in the past few years that they launched their brand more experimental and they are now looking essentially to be a commercially successful brand. If they are appointed, I guess they got bored and are wanting to be more experimental again!

I think what some don’t appreciate is the disastrous results that can come from a designer not being able to work with the scale of a house. Proenza has lasted through the years because it’s kind of a New York Bottega. The material research and quality behind the ready to wear is very elite and akin to what galley women also buy from Bottega or Marni or Prada. The only thing is their brand stagnated when Pheobe really became the big dog in town and owned that lane.
Since then, the celebrity of VB and Tory B have brought them success doing a similar look to Proenza but as someone who went to school with them and knows their pedigree - they’re old enough and primed for great things if given a big house. They’ve basically outgrown their own brand and need a bigger luxury house with more means and muscle to make their next moves.
PS -looks like the old Parsons guard seems to be making its move. Michael Rider, possibly Proenza, and Michelle Ochs at Herve Leger.
    Xoxo

Loewe customer here and honestly I couldn't say who I would want on the position next - just sort of weary of this musical chairs game. Moved away from Mcqueen after Sarah Burton left & Burberry after Daniel Lee went there; besides Loewe I've just been kind of hovering in proverbial space.
All I know is that it can't be someone willing to go past the "Puzzle Edge Line" of cheapening the quality

Has Fendi confirmed who is taking their creative director for women's wear?

Like your work on these matters, Loewe is perfect for a growing up talent, Dior is really heavy to handle, would be a huge surprise to hire Hedi S at Gucci, regarding previous law suit matters, Kering Boss and exec repellent, and for my point of view, too many brands and accessories lead to a state of general boredom..difficult to make happen magic again in these rows of fashion dream turned to business stress..

Dior's women's collections have been stale from day one of MGC's tenure. Her designs are beyond boring.

Great video! I didn't know about the end of Y Project.😟 l like the idea of Glenn going to Margiela. I also like the idea of Grace Ling going to Loewe. For the love of God. Please give Hedi his own line so we don't have to see him bring his same esthetic to yet another house. Several SA's have confirmed that the Miss Dior graffiti collection was not successful. However, designers are allowed to have bad collections from time to time. Maria will probably be replaced. I just hope that the powers that be are not overly influenced by the internet critics. Yes her shows are underwhelming and repetitive. I believe she was trying to establish recognizable codes for the house. The clothing sold and she made a lot of money for the brand. The clothes IN PERSON were really beautiful.
