This song has quickly become a fan favourite. They haven't played it live yet, but from what Miyako says, they will... she says she wrote it with the intention of it being played live, so their August/September shows in Japan will likely see it performed (and hopefully filmed for a live DVD, even though they already have one coming out soon!). What a great way to end an album. It's like a cliffhanger... you can't wait for what they'll do next!
Such an amazing track and immediately became one of my absolute favorite songs by Lovebites!! 🔥 The speed, the riffs, the vocals, the drums, the bass, yeah i LOVE this track!! Thanks Joel!! 🤘😊 The video is from a listening party they did here on yt for the release of the new album, it was a lot of fun!
Welcome back and thank you for doing this reaction to lovebites again, this is my favourite song from this album, is so crazy good with everything, sounds great, LOVEBITES ROCK
This video is taken from their first listening session in their SuperChat (Feb 21 2023) Part of the funds raised = donation to the victims of a recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria. It was still a "draft post-prod version" (ex: Midori's guitar sound would sometimes come out of the right side instead of the left side of the headphones).
Thank you for finally giving a reaction to this best song. Actually, many people call this the best song among all their songs. Being the last song on the album, it clearly shows their determination to continue playing authentic heavy metal. In addition, this track is not only an incredibly energetic song, it's also lyrical, and the way it blends seamlessly with the neoclassical elements in the middle is just great. I can't wait to see the live version.
The album "Judgement Day" is one suite of gems, with this song - in my opinion - standing solitarily among them. And then there's Haruna's bridge at 5.27 - such an enchanting moment.
No it has not been performed live yet, and they have been taking their time this past months, but from this autumn they will be doing their Judgement Day Tour and as its name implies they would be doing the songs from this new album, so everyone will be waiting to see SSS performed live. It is coming. This video comes from a live reaction they did to their whole album the launch day, before we had listened to any song from there. There is one of those for each song. Soldier Stands Solitarily closes the Judgement Day album and miyako has mentioned she composed it with the idea to be the flagship track of the record. Finally it was Judgement Day instead. OT: Everyone is checking this new song some rapper called Uzi Vert has done, surprisingly collaborating with Babymetal. Pretty crazy stuff, half of the hiphop fandom is raging at this song right now, because it is one of this Babymetal songs in their more kawaii form like when they were starting xD
Imagine them walking down main street LA / Hollywood dressed like this and suddenly setup their gear in the street and rip this song off. The amounts of jaw-dropping and promoters running around w/their heads cut off would be priceless to see. LOL. My favorite song by them all-time. Haruna's double kick and cymbal work just off the charts. You need to have Snake or someone react to this. 🤘
My opinion this is The best from The new album, very fast, Haruna is incredibile, Miyako, Midori and Fami awesome and Asami phenomenal range, great Album and great Song! I Love Lovebites, great reaction.🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺❤️🔥🇯🇵🇮🇹
At this point, Lovebites has nothing left to prove to anyone. If you are into metal, and you are not in the wolfpack, that is a personal problem you need to sort-out. We are all waiting for the world tour. When they are ready... we will be there! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Both Brutal and Beautiful at the same time. This is everything I hoped Lovebites would do when they dropped their new album. They just get better and better.
It's the last track on judgement day album and you were watching the live stream promotion done on TH-cam.. Haruna shows just how fast she can drum. 🤘🥁🎤🎹🎸🐺
Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES. Keep LOVEBITES in your future. 【The following is from an interview with LOVEBITES for a magazine project】 [Miyako(G Key and Piano Black hair)] As for "Soldier Stands Solitarily", I had a demo of it when I was working on the "Glory, Glory, to the World" EP (2021). It had a completely different shape than this one, except for the chorus. The chorus was punchy and had a good melody, so I wasn't satisfied with it as it was. This time, I restructured it and reincarnated it. In Miyako's mind, she thought the BPM was too fast, so Miyako said in her mind to Haruna(Dr), "I'm sorry," "If you lower this BPM, it will feel different!" she said. So in Miyako's mind, Miyako said, "Haruna can play at this BPM," and"If you don't play like this, it won't sound cool!" With that in mind, Miyako entered the bass line into the software. Japanese women and children hold up the index fingers of both hands and place them on either side of their head in a "demon" or "ogre" pose, making a "I'm so angry!" and make a kawaii expression. "Demon" or "ogre" is the Japanese word for "oni".("oni"="鬼"👹). At an album presentation at her home, Miyako said, "Asami & Haruna, I'm sorry! and wrote it down and projected it on the screen. The belt Miyako requested for Asami was too high and the BPM Miyako requested for Haruna was too fast, so I think Miyako lovingly apologized to Asami and Haruna with a handwritten message panel on the screen.
@@nunaneto I enjoy Lost In The Garden very much and I can't wait to experience it played live when Miyako will highlight a La Campanella solo. However, right now, I prefer Soldier Stands Solitarily and it is up there with my other three Miyako favorites.
@@danw6048 I like it as much as "Break the Wall" and "The Hammer of Wrath". If I was to rank them, the margins would be so small, that I'd still rate all of them 10/10. The same goes for "Dissonance", which - music-wise - is their first song to enter Death (Metal)-territory.
That is most definitely my favourite. Best song by best band ever, and they are just so much fun. I’m going to two gigs of their Judgement Day tour of Japan and I think every member of both audiences have been praying that they play this. Imagine, last song of the gig before encores (so no encores!!).
This song is amazing. I love Stand and Deliver, but I think this one would be utterly amazing live. Unreal. Probably is the best of theirs of the new album. This format is also fantastic. I'd love more of these. Haruna kills me in this one lol "Focus on drums!" Amazing drum fill. Cheers. Haha they're all so much fun in this video format.
This is the favourite off the new album for many fans. Personally I prefer "Dissonance" (which is the heaviest song they've ever recorded), but "SSS" is probably my second favourite track from the "Judgement Day" album.
Every time I hear the greatness of this song, I am reminded of the lameness of Metal Hammer's review of this album. The reviewer gave the album 3.5/5 which is lower than the vast majority of the reviews. The reviewer discussed each of the first five songs but for the last five said "the second half sounds rather samey". What!!?? The second half has My Orion, Dissonance and Soldier Stands Solitarily! There is nothing "samey" about those songs. The reviewer was very complimentary of Lovebites and said good things about the first five songs. But that really proves my conclusion about the review. It was lazy and the reviewer never actually listened to the last five songs. Apparently even Metal Hammer (a magazine that probably gave Lovebites their best publicity in the west) can give a half-ass review. Thanks for letting me vent. I feel better now.
Was that MH UK? I'd say that the coverage of Lovebites in German metal magazines is close to non-existent. Haven't seen anything about Lovebites in the German MH magazine. And the last (and I think so far only) album review in the other big German metal magazine Rock Hard was one of "Clockwork Immortality" with a ridiculous 5/10-rating - that was 4 1/2 years ago. Maybe there were some reviews in smaller magazines which I'm not aware of, but it seems that Germany is still asleep in that regard.
@@MissLoonasSpeech Yes, it was the UK Metal Hammer which is the one I digitally subscribe to. I think Lovebites winning best new band at the Metal hammer 2018 Golden Gods Awards in London was huge for the band.
I stopped buying MH (Greece) about 20-25 years ago. I didn't want-and still don't- any "expert" to tell me what is good and what isn't. As far as i like it, their opinions don't matter. What is nice to someone's ears, mouth and eyes is very subjective. So if the reviewer found the second half "samey" that's fine. But i wonder what his/her opinion would've been if asked to review e.g a 100% thrash or power or doom metal album? Would he/she have found it "samey" or would it been like "every song in this album is a gem, with unique sounds in every one of them which shows that the creativity of the band has reached 10/10"? Screw the "experts".
@@HellMac I read Metal Hammer and metal websites strictly to keep up with new releases and new bands. So much metal is released every month that I am not sure how someone could do it otherwise. There are many bands I would not have discovered, or discovered much later, without MH and metal websites. Most reviews of Judgement Day have been spot on.
I thinks it is time to get an Industry Exec to listen to this song for a reaction!!!! Next round of live videos probably after August 23rd. That is when the Blue Ray/CD of the Mach shows comes out. It is called "Knocking at Heavens Gate" I don't think this song is on there though. Hopefully it is part of the summer tour.

I agree, every member put forth their extreme best on this one. They were all pushed to the very limit of their abilities.
You're right it is a monster track off the new album. Hoping to see them do it live soon.
Great reaction, this is my favorite Lovebites song, it shows what these talented girls can do, the queens of powerthrash.

the best track in their discography
One of the best neoclassical speed metal song ever existed.
