    • @LivingWithGeese
      @LivingWithGeese 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      New Jersey has been dealing with geese for far longer than your city has. Plus, they offered to pay for a solution. YOUR city will pay thousands of dollars to kill geese instead because of stupidity.
      The city I work in now uses humane methods. We have volunteers who addle eggs, and it doesn't cost the city a single cent. The program 100% works, and it will work with any city if they actually don't half-ass it like Foster City is doing.

    I find this disturbing. Our water storage ponds are a beautiful and perfect habitat for many species of migratory birds. I've become very fond of our local Canadian geese. Apparently they don't really migrate anymore when they have a year-round temperate climates to live in - thanks climate change/humans. Geese mate for life, btw, and they grieve the loss of their mates. In our nearby water storage basin, there is a chain link fence around it, protecting the water, the geese, ducks, and many other birds from humans. It also divides the small neighboring park, as the geese stay within the boundaries of the fence, by the water. Therefore, NO poop problem. It is always a pleasure to see them with their goslings in the springtime. This depresses me to hear. I surely hope they don't intend to POISON them!!? And all the other wildlife, AND the water itself!!!
