Okay, now I need David Mitchell to write a book about the Salem Witch Trials 'cause that episode is so BONKERS and ridiculous and needs a retelling through the lens of David Mitchell, for sure...
Reading the book now, and it's a fantastic introduction to British history. If he ever decides to write about the civil war, commonwealth, and restoration, I'm preordering that one the second I hear about it.
The people who actually believe the guy who found the 'holy grail' was real are also the ones who think we all came from 2 people who were expelled from a paradise for eating an apple. Not really worth explaining otherwise to them, their beliefs aren't based in fact.
David would make an outstanding History teacher, makes it fun.
He also reads the book himself on Audible. Its so good.
I suspect Dave didn't get the Horrible Histories reference.

I love history too. Anything vintage.

"There's nothing to be afraid of. It was very popular with the Romans and they got a lot done." David Mitchell
The book is absolutely hilarious - if you want to laugh and learn for 15-20 hours straight then read it

2:05 Since when did Arthur pull a sword out of a cannon?
Pretty sure that's canon
The funniest thing about this clip is the blank looks on the faces of Beverly, Alex and whoever the bloke is - they haven't a clue, have they?
I have to question anyone who doesn’t often think about the Roman Empire
His book is excellent.
Best work Mitchell's done since Peep Show. His intellect is wasted on panel shows.
Futile Feudal conquest ! Lol
