@@AvaPlaya13 I think Dami is more into softer or more meticulous stuffs. JiU is BabyMetal fan and Siyeon is One Ok Rock fan. Yoohyeon would be the other one being happy af beside JiU and Siyeon. Just how hype these girl during their drive when One OK Rock's and BabyMetal's songs were played.

"Jiu is so hot" Wait till you see her IRL, the cameras don't do her justice in fact it does none of the girls justice. I was staggered at just how beautiful they all are when i got to see them in London this year.

When you're doing Overdose, you should also do Siyeon's cover of Alan Walker's Faded. The original is techno-pop, the contrast couldn't be higher. And Siyeon's Faded is a must-listen if you ask me.
Excellent vocals and choreo aside, I think often we give little credit to the production team and I think DC has the best mix in their tracks 👍

Ok, so several things:
Have fun at their concert man. I went to their Chicago show. It's inexplicable. They're somehow more amazing than you could have ever imagined, even though they're fucking awesome from their MVs and dances. Also, Yoohyeon cannot possibly be a real person. She's absolutely flawless. You'll be blown away by all of them, because I think this is your first K-pop show. They're somehow more beautiful in person. But Yoohyeon just ... Wow.
Second, I feel you on that Blink thing. Blackpink was my favorite girl group for a while. They've since been surpassed by (G)I-DLE and Dreamcatcher. And it actually like hurt to admit it for the first time. I think those two had passed Blackpink a few months before, but I just couldn't bring myself to admit it. They're just so wonderful that you don't want to hurt them, even though it'll have absolutely zero effect on them and they have no idea who I am lol.
And someone else commented it, but I'll say it cautiously: you *might* like GFriend. I consider myself a Buddy (fandom name) considering I paid to be part of their fanclub lol. But they're not for everyone, and they are very different from DC, even though DC is called the dark GFriend. They're cute, but not like Twice. It's hard to explain. Innocent? Idk. What they are right about is they may be the only group I consider better than DC as dancers (barely). Gfriend are stupidly in sync. They might just share a brain amongst 6 bodies. It's actually mind blowing. Gfriend are under Source Music, who was just purchased by BigHit. But that's just a recent development. What they share with DC is 3 things: anime-ish sound (more like happy, school anime rather than DC), unreal dancing, and incredible live vocals. Yuju is one of the best vocalists in K-pop right now. You should still check them out to see for yourself. They use a lot of orchestral instruments and a good bit of electric guitar.
Most popular songs that fit their normal sound are: Rough, Me Gustas Tu, Navillera (my favorite song), Time for the moon night, Love Whisper (water dancing), Sunrise (my baby girl Eunha's high note tho)
Two of their songs that are divergent from their sound: Fingertip and Fever. Fever was this year, I'm still kind of iffy on it. But Fingertip is one of their best songs. Fight me, Buddies.
I hope he reads it and reacts to Gfriend. He just needs to watch any dance practice really and he will be won over. I have no doubt.
When I heard Fingertip, I thought to myself, finally, Gfriend stepping out from their"Innocence", they're finally daring and doing something more mature... I guess Koreans disagreed with me, they went right back to their more usual sound with the following comebacks... I was disappointed and stop actively following them since then... I still like them, SinBi is totally great, but I don't watch all the live shows or the TV shows they go on anymore...
@@JGM0JGM Not a fan of their music because it's not for me, but I hope those girls are well taken care of and I hope the company takes into consideration their opinions and wishes regarding their style of music and the whole concept. They are REALLY talented and it would be sad if they don't enjoy it as much as it seems like.
I was about to say "overdose" but you ask to not say that one XD. You should see Yoohyeon "2002" and " secret love song " covers. Jiu "Honesty"(what's better than a Jiu? Two Jiu's). Siyeon "blind days"(another colab with the game King's raid). And of course theirs b-sides: "wonderland"," and there was no one left","July 7th". Those 3 songs are the ones that make me fall full in love with Dreamcatcher. I'm a Blink and can understand what you says about Blackpink, I love they and they are the group that make me listen K-pop, but Dreamcatcher became my favorite group not only for the music but also for all the hard work they do, because their company is small and they have to fight against the lack of love for rock in Korea. Lucky for then internationally their rock sounds is well received.
Dreamcatcher is such an underrated group, they are absolutely talented and amazing!!!!! Stan Dreamcatcher!

What you said about their choreo is EXACTLY one of the reasons they became my ults alongside Bangtan. Their choreo is always so well suited to the song and they never lose intensity when they dance. They perform like each stage is their last, something I was always taught to do growing up as a musician and truly appreciate seeing in the artists I admire.

Full Moon was actually my first Dreamcatcher track and it only took that one song for me to fall in love with them. It's just so beautifully put together

Wake up, mayday, and wonderland. Some of my favorites! Dreamcatcher is my ultimate group so i'm always pumped when you express your excitement for them. They are amazing. I got to meet them in chicago and i have to say you'll just fall in love with them even more.

I think you'd like Gfriend too, Dreamcatcher are often referred as the "dark" Gfriend, and they also have super good choreos with crazy transitions :)
i was the same with You and I, at first i was kinda meh about it but it really really grew on me and now it's one of my faves
Intros for their EP/albums are always epic.
But It’s their transitions/symetry that always get me, always so smooth and if you notice their formations they use always the same m-shape, v-shape, w-shape 4-3, 2-3-2, 3-1-3.

For You and I, I don't think they will perform all the original choreography, like SuA being pulled part at the begining, she appeared with many bruises on her legs during You and I promotion, maybe because of practicing that part.

Dami's Special Clip was Once Upon a Time. She _doesn't_ always get a big chunk of rap lines, but bear in mind she ain't just a rapper, and she often sings when you don't even realise it. As others have said, you should check out more of their B-sides; Dami especially surprises a lot of people on ...And There Was No-one Left. ;) And yeah, she's trained in kendo, but I'm pretty sure the stick twizzling is an entirely separate skill. She's tried to teach the others to do it, and it was a disaster... :p Re: her hair, it's only relatively recently that she's had it cut shorter; someone asked her if she was planning to grow it out, and she basically said "I've had long hair for about 20 years, I think I'll keep it like this for a bit..."
I think Gahyeon's finally starting to rail against being the cute one, even though it's undeniable. :p When I saw them at their fansign in London, someone kept shouting "Gahyeon, you're so cute!", and Gahyeon went into a bit of a good-natured cringe and said "Noooo...". When the fan switched it to "Gahyeon, you're so sexy!", you could see her puff up in the manner of "That's more like it..." :p
"Who's singing this part?" I think it's Yoohyeon doing the first part of the chorus, before she hands off to Siyeon.

Ouhyeah! Another reaction of my favourite kpop girl group by my favourite youtuber of kpop reactions! Loved it. I would suggest a couple: “Mayday” with a real band made of insomnias playing along, and “July 7th”, which has a kind of reggae vibe. Note: for July 7th, you can choose between two videos: one shot by themselves in a backstage, which is so funny, or the regular one.

Dami, Handong’s and Gahyeon historically have the fewest number of lines. That’s actually one of the things I hope the producers work on. Kind of the same issue in the music videos too where some members don’t seem to get as much screen time
It’s true the vocal trio siyeon, Yoohyeon & JiU usually get most lines & screen time.
But you will find in b-sides, the others have a lot more lines and really do shine

Agree, I wish Handong would have more lines in their upcoming title tracks, get chilled everytime watching her cover of Proof of my Heartbeat. Also hope to see her being more outgoing in the future, the girl is still kinda reserved though.
I feel like in the mvs, regarding screen time, they kinda trapped themselves in having Yoohyeon and Jiu such key parts in the story they were always going to have an unequal share of the screen time.
I am a Blink and also Insomnia too😂 Both of them are absolutely great girl groups.

I've been a fan of Dreamcatcher's for over 16 or 17 months now and seen their live performance videos, their practice videos, their MV and their cover videos.
Their vocals, visual and choreographed is something I am just blown away with.

Their lives are always this great. Since they have very loud voices, especially Sua. So they overpower the backtrack.

Well... They also perform at a variety show call IMMORTAL SONG.. They done couple of songs cover . Recently they also cover a song call Chakra which is a tribute to the first generation girl group. Siyeon also was invited to done a song cover call Blind Days from King's Raid. Sua will do a dance cover soon which she choreo herself.

Just a quick correction, it's Shee-yon, not See-yon. In Korean when ㅅ is followed by ㅣ you get a "shee" sound, as opposed to 사 which is "sah".

I saw a KPOP idol break down how life stages work and they have generally 3 settings for backtracks, 30%, 50% and 70%. The ones who are the main singers typically have 30%, the rest 50% unless they're a member who's not as confident in their live will have 70%. Songs with a ton of aggressive choreo will typically have more backtracking. But Sometimes there's a big temptation to always go for the 70% because say you're the performer with 30% because you're supposed to be "good" at singing but the guy/girl next to you who isnt' as good sounds better because they have a strong backtrack it sucks. Especially when you're vying for the public eye and attention and want the be the "it" factor if your group.
