The story about this piece is someone requested it as "Blue Lamp Shade". What they really meant was a piece called "Boodle am Shake" (maybe not the actual spelling). Soooo Tom wrote this piece and called it Blue Lamp Shade. It is (I believe) his interpretation of the original piece in question with variations from his own imagination. I have heard many different variations on this tune depending on Tom's mood.
Very cool! Checked out that tune and you can hear that the melody in the first strain of Blue Lampshade was inspired by that. The rest seems to be all Brier!
I hope he does, his mastery is surely missed. As a sidebar there is the Jo Ann Castle back catalog and fine work on accordion. Not Mr. Brier; But surely a gifted pianist.
I was shocked by the magnificence of this. Litterally at a loss for words. Good bless him and his entourage. I hope he will be better after this virus -caused predicament.
@@jasim_piano3847 Bro I ask Ron(keeper1st) what's the most difficult tom brier piece. He told me Tom said "One too many" is probably one of his difficult pieces and boy does that look scary😅.

Cool history, tks you
There is everything 100% perfect.
Suits the drums so well, has a real momentum
So original, so perfect. I love it that Tom never goes too fast and keeps in the authentic ragtime groove.
I come back again and again to hear this masterpiece.
Same here. Tom and Danny's playing create something out of this world.
Tom is my favorite! Hope he recovers!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better.
A few years late,
My favorite arrangement by tom! The drums compliment it rather well!
I like this piece, in particular and am enjoying the drummer doing such nice teamwork.

Oh! I love finding random videos of Tom that aren’t on @Keeper1st
Noah Sanders I recall taking a lot of videos at this festival. I hope you can find the rest of them. If not, let me know and I’ll get a playlist made.

@@exertkarma IKR 😅
This has to be one of his hardest pieces. Well nvm its really peril in pantomime XD
Only the second half is difficult because it is not repetitive, i'm almost done with it and the next piece im trying is peril in pantomime.
