  • The vibrant, energetic music of the Andes region of South America is performed in its most authentic form by Andes Manta, musicians and natives of the Ecuadorian Andes. Learn about dozens of traditional instruments, including six-foot-long panpipes. Andes Manta musicians discuss the history, music, and traditions of their culture, demonstrate the rich and haunting sounds of the rain forest, and perform traditional folk music. Andes Manta is committed to performing traditional Andean music, rooted in the cultural heritage of the Incas and their ancestors, in its purest, most authentic form (recorded in 2004 at C. D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, VA).

Just saw them live in Rosendale, NY at the Widow Jane Mine as part of a beautiful opera that was created by a wonderful local musician. The entire experience was magical and Andes Manta is just incredible. The best around.

I'm so glad finding this among the lot of cheap recordings with poor synthesizer tunes on YT.

Hi Andes Manta! You may know me. I was at your most recent concert at Nottingham Elementary School. I am in currently in fourth grade. I loved your performance, especially the part where you were playing the jungle sounds.( I’m also from Latin America.) I hope you will make another performance at my elementary school. Bye!

21:10 - 36:45 That's a huge chunk of the video with a weird slowdown problem.
Props to the person who ran sound for this group; looks complicated.
    Also nice music

I love this so much. There seems to be something wrong with the middle of the video though. It goes in slow motion. Would love to see the whole thing!
