    Thank you for sharing. I take my Mitsubishi apart annually to clean the blower wheel and everything inside, but I was always hesitant about that long gray clip holding the tray to the drain tube. I was afraid to break it. Now that you confirmed it's really tight, I'll just press harder next time for better access. At least I was able to use my small pancake compressor to blow-out the line and remove the gunk. Good info!

    You sir, are a genius! Thank you! Other ways of accessing the drain pipe were so difficult and others taught sucking using a wet dry vac for 5 mins. But blowing it out is so much easier. I used a pneumatic drain blaster instead and omg, I'm totally drip free now!

    Would you have any tips for removing the front cover of Mitshubishi Starmex?
    I tried (by 1st removing the tabs and 2 screws), but the front cover just wouldn't come off when i pull outwards. Is there a catch on top or both sides that require a screwdriver to pry open (i am afraid it might crack the cover).
    Appreciate any tips. Thanks

      Pull the part of the cover under the louvres *downwards* and then outwards slightly and then upwards. The downward part is the most important.

    Kevin ..got 2 questions..
    1.After pulling out ( or disconnecting) that short condensate drainage pipe from that small opening..can you show us how to reconnect it ? That will make it a complete tutorial as i can see many others asking the same question.
    2. When You blow into the pvc pipe does the jelly blob it go back into the FCU? or it goes out of the condensate pipe to dischage points ( bathroom or kitchen floor trap etc. Is that correct? Or Should we be sucking it out with vacuum cleaner as what i see in other youtune DIY?

      Out from the condensate pipe. In hdb flat, the grey color pvc pipe is usually exposed and discharged in the toilet, near the floor trap. In private development, it's usually buried in the concrete and discharge inside the floor trap.

    • @astiquer
      @astiquer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, water dripping from left or right has got to do with the tilt of the Aircon. If your Aircon is tilted slightly to the left and when the water overflows, it appears to come out from the left. However, since we're no longer in a lock down, you can consider engaging professional help when there's Aircon water dripping. This is important because what that's normally clogging your Aircon is bacteria biofilm and the aircon will be very moldy by now. You can call or whatsapp me at 90674867 or book an appointment with me at booking.astiquer.com/
      Hope to see u soon.

    • @astiquer
      @astiquer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, sorry for the late reply. Do u have a picture of said black colour part? Is it a rubber ring. If it is, it's the rubber seal which is inside the solid pipe connector. However, this part rarely comes out, you'll have to use a flat screw driver to digbit out...as such, it's quite unlikely to be this part. Did someone accidentally break the fan blower blade. It's a solid plastic part. Thanks

    Thanks for the video - on lockdown, don't want to wait 2 weeks for a repairman to fix it. I tried your method but I could not get the hose out. I cut my knuckles and hands up trying but then I took off the front cover (1 screw) and I could see the water tray and the hole where the water would go. I was able to get a big paper straw down there and get a little bleach in there as well as blow some air and water through the line. I filled the reservoir up a few times and it seems to be draining fine now! At least until it can get proper serviced. Appreciate the video!

    Hi can you run water thru the hose to try and clear all the jelly?

    • @astiquer
      @astiquer  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it depends. Most comfortable condo and hdb flats in Singapore runs one shared water drain pipe for few airconditioners. Therefore of you push air or water through the pipe, it may be forced out from the other Aircon. If it's air, it pushes out the residue water trapped near the other Aircon, which is not too bad. But if you run a water hose through it, it may result in massive amount of water splashing out of the other Aircon.

      There is a locking screw on the right side of the blower. Slowly turn the fan blower and you'll see one of the blades is missing, that's where you can use a Phillips screw driver to remove said screw.
