i was driving Car 48 (The Yellow One). Good Race Malcolm, i am glad u missed a gear coming down the straight, gave me a sporting chance. look forward to seeing u at the next meeting.
@Jamesmx548 - Hi Hames, yes, I enjoyed it also, great driving in those conditions and very clean racing. I'll be at most races this year with the cars usual driver Fahad Hizam but not Cadwell i'm afraid as I am elsewhere that weekend.
@MaxxUK - i dont think i am going to be at Cadwell either ( the other half is complaining about me spending too much time playing with cars). Are u running Gax or Spax suspension on that car? also, what PSI were u running on ur tyres? u seemed to have a lot more grip than me coming out onto the banked part of the Circuit. apart from the fact u were the better driver that day. =-)
@Jamesmx548 - I checked the tyres when I arrived first thing and they were all around 26psi so just left 'em. I think it was more a technique thing, I was trying to get the back end to slide round and point me down the oval so as to keep a very tight line, if it worked, which it mostly did I would get on pretty much full power which would slide at first but as soon as it hit the banking it would grip.
@MaxxUK - it seemed to work, i could not get the grip down like you did. the reason i ask is that most people say that the Gaz shocks are better at lower speed grip and i am thinking about going from spax to gaz. spax seem to be better on the faster bends so i cannot decide. what do u think?
@Jamesmx548 - The car has Gaz but I really don't know how they compare to others. I only drive the car occasionally and have done some rent-a-drives in the past in other cars but not sure what they would have had on them. Maybe a question for the guys that run their own cars, with rent-a-drives you don't really have time to make any adjustments unless the car is really evil-handling.
Knowledgable Race & Track drivers will note that I am using pretty much the normal "dry" line. I data-logged both lines in quali and found there to be no real difference. The circuit had been used extensively the week before for testing and there was lots of marbles and still loads of rubber off the normal dry line. The track got slippier as the day progressed and I think by race 2 the wet line may have been an advantage but I stuck to the dry line, kinda like it in the wet :)

nice driving mate!
Missed a gear (5th instead of 3rd) into the Oval @ 7:38
Look at the water sloshing round in the wheel well (pedalcam) @ 0:50
