This would have helped persuade folks back then about the emerging space programs , by the then " super powers" . I can recall as a kid , on a warm evening , laying out in the potatoes patch , watching the hevans and seeing Sputnik , flying overhead from southeast to northwest . That’s actually my mom! Her name was Lorrie Peters. She worked at NBC right after graduating from Syracuse. She went in to sing with the Glen Miller Orchestra and made a few singles in Nashville. I still have most of her recordings and some of these jingles on reel to reel.

Love what they thought in 1955: the rocket is blasting to outer space in 1965 (close), and "it's slide-rule stuff."
