for someone from Delhi, India even the gravel parking lot in Alaska seems like a beautiful spot...

Agreed! We were mainly poking fun at the blog post we read. Alaska is so remote there is beauty around every corner. Take care! 🙌

In the more populated areas (Fairbanks, anchorage, Palmer) it was pretty comparable but when you go into the smaller towns (Glennallen which was the smallest town we found a grocery store in) expect to pay $10 for a gallon of milk.

    What are the roads like?

The main roads on the way to Homer where they were in this video are paved highways.

For the most part (excluding cities) the main roads in Alaska are two lane paved roads. There are plenty of side roads that are gravel that are generally in pretty good shape. The worse section of road coming to Alaska is between destruction bay (in Canada) to Tok Alaska. Tons of frost heaves and pot holes. Probably the worst road we’ve ever driven.
