These trucks were once ubiquitous and easy to find cheap. Blown head gaskets were the Achilles heel of the Z series engines, so there aren't many on the road left. I get comments everywhere I go with my 84 KC 2wd as you just don't see them much anymore. Mine has 249K miles and runs strong with no oil use.

I have definitely enjoyed my pickup. Very true about the head gasket for sure, iron and aluminum don't go well together. Thanks for your comment!
